Tim has already stated in this thread that the June date IS NOT when the PC version is coming out. Here is his quote:

There is a target date that I can't reveal. As soon as they get closer to release, the launch date will be announced. I will say that it will not release in June like the console versions. There are some very good reasons why, so when I can talk about it. I will.

Whilst I'm looking forward to TW2010 I'm thinking that it won't be so good for online tournament play in respect of the dynamic weather. If the dynamic weather is not selectable it will be impossible to have all players playing under the same conditions for each individual round. I imagine that the dynamic weather feature will be an add-on to the current range of weather criteria; at least I hope so. I know I'm jumping the gun here but I'm just thinking aloud so to speak.

In a real golf tournament though, all players rarely ever have the same conditions. Weather changes throughout the day. I know I would be in favor of a more random weather system that is more realistic.

Assuming such a feature makes it into TW for PC, what makes you think that all players would not be playing the same weather? For the consoles, every player playing the round will play with the same conditions because the conditions are coming from the current weather conditions at the course that is being played and the conditions are being updated every 15 minutes from the Weather Channel feed. This Weather Channel feed is one of the most exciting new features I have seen from TW Golf in a long time. The conditions can change DURING the round if the weather changes at the actual course. Plus, there is programming that changes the ball physics to react to the changing conditions during the round as well. What is not to like about that?

Nowe that you are reveasling so much, would it be to much to ask if you happen to know if there's an updated CA that will be avaible for TW2010? If there isn't, I wont have to follow this thread anymore.

Read my post again carefully. Notice I started with "Assuming such a feature makes it into TW for PC....."

I did not reveal anything other than what the consoles are offering. I also cannot answer if a CA is being included or not. It is certainly your choice not to follow the thread, but if I were you, I would check on it from time to time....

Tim, I have a question for you, I can understand if you are not able to say, but has there been people such as you and others in similar capacities been pleading the add on communities to the dev team/ product teams at all? I know the largest part of the consumer base for the game is the console, but it sure would be nice if they know how much value those things like a CA, LC and career editor are to those of us that buy every version of the pc title. Thanks

Dynamic Weather, does that mean that if next January 12th, at 1am, I decide to play a round at Whistling Straits, I'll be doing so in a blizzard in the dark. If that dictates the weather conditions in the game, then you won't be able to play at night, or am I missing something here.

No snow will be coded in the game, but rain, wind, etc. will. You will also have the choice in the console versions to set the kind of conditions you want to play in......

Because not everyone will be playing at the same time.

If you are referring to online tournaments, I agree. But isn't that what happens in the PGA TOUR? Remember Sergio sqwawking loudly during one of the British Opens about how some players (Tiger mainly) got better weather to play in because of when their tee times were? Welcome to "inside the ropes of the PGA TOUR"....I don't see this as a bad thing at all...just means you will have to check the Weather Channel when playing your rounds. Also keep in mind that weather for online play can be selectable between WC feeds and set weather conditions in the upcoming console versions.

For online match play and other head to head modes, this is a good thing as well as it brings more realistic challenges to the gameplay difficulty....
