Nice work, but that mound you put it on looks too cone shaped to me. From the picture I'de say you got the height about right, but the base is too narrow. Also the mound I see on the pic is sort of sloped in stages. That isn't that hard to emulate using the 2 shape method. Let's say your base is roughly circular with a 200 yds radius. You drop that shape, select it and diminish it by, say, 60 yards. Drop and select and then select your original shape along with the new shape and raise to about half the total height you want to achieve. Optimize all shapes at the 3rd click. Now draw a shape where you want your object to be. Select this shape together with the second shape and raise to the desired height. If you put your inner shapes off-center with regard to the outer shape, you can get all sorts of cool effects, like cliffs on one side and a gentle slope on the other. Experiment! |

The way you described it is similar to the way I made it. TBH I wasn't trying to make the hill like the one in Dundee, it was only when I finished it that I saw it looked similar from some angles, and thats what gave me the idea of putting the memorial on the top. Although the picture I posted is quite far away, there are quite a few parts of the course where you can see it closer, and it looks great. I finished the course at last today. All i need to do now is package it up and upload it, today hopefully. I was gonna send it to Golfcart first but as hes on a break, I'll take a chance and hope there aren't too many problem areas.

Yes, I have been working on a couple of courses now for quite awhile... and there is NO WAY I would attempt to release it without testing.... There is just too much the designer can overlook.... :) |

In that case I'm looking for volunteers :)
What would i need to send them?
Off to the pub now for a few whiskies to celebrate Burns night, and a few beers just for the sake of it.
Cheers
