Hello, I'm Colin Jones from Luton in the UK. Have been playing various versions of PGA golf since 1992, finally moving from TW2001 to TW2008 a year and a bit ago after buying a new PC. I would like to play online but have a problem - firstly, when I choose the online option in the game I get an "internet explorer script error". Selecting the "yes" box causes the game to crash; selecting the "no" box brings up the German version of the ESPN site, which seems to have me logged in with the name I submitted when I first registered the game a year ago and with a warning message (deine version des spiels ist veraltet etc.) which then goes on (I think) to tell me I need a patch from easports.com, which isn't obviously available on their website. I am then unable to exit back to the game and have to use Task Manager to close it down. Anyone able to help me on this one? - to get an English ESPN page would be a start and is there a patch I need? Have just registered for the Course Downloads Tour and would like to get started asap! Thanks in advance. |

hi.... Maybe some help on link below:
http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=8014&bookmark=
You can also try to reinstall the online components:
It is possibble to reinstall the online components separate, no need to reinstall the whole game:
When you want to uninstall....and reinstall online components:
To uninstall online components: go to folder: ea sports online C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\EA SPORTS online inside you will see icon: Easouninstaller Click: Easouninstaller icon , and online components will be removed
To reinstall online components:
Go to your DVD drive with TW08 game......right click DVD drive and choose: Browse or explore (;Or dubble click DVD drive ) Now on TW08 DVD look for folder: Common Easo Inside Common Easo folder, you will see: Easo installer Dubble click: Easo installer........and online components will be reinstalled. |

Hello I'm from NYC.
I been playing tiger woods pga tour since tw99, been playing pc golf sims all my life. Last Tiger one I played regularly was 2006, I just recently got 2008 and started playing again. If i would of known 08 would of lasted this long I would of got it a long time ago.
Tried the new tiger woods online pc beta. Its so horrible compared to the tw series. i had to run out and get this game to start playing again. I just joined the tour, I've never even played a custom course over the years but i'm going to start. Thanks for having me. |

Hi I'm Tom and live in Arizona now for the last 5 years with my wife Diane of 37 years. Born and raised in Chicago but after 53 years finally had enough cold and snow. I really suck playing real golf but that's ok because I'm a Cub's fan so I can handle NOT WINNING ANYTHING for hundreds of years! I've been playing TW golf since 07 but only online for the last 6 months. I'm gonna start at novice and see what happens. Go Blackhawks! |

Hello Everyone,
I'm Rumple (Allen) from London and have played cybergolf for a number of years, being too old and decrepit to play real life golf anymore. I've also toyed for years with playing online and possibly the time to do so has arrived. Just got to read up on the pros and cons and I'll be with you to set new standards. At the bottom of course.
May I heartily thank and congratulate the originators of CD and all the clever hard working designers that keep it going. Long may you do so and once again I sincerely thank you on behalf of all those who, for various reasons, are unable to enjoy the real thing.
ATB

Hi I am timothyhill1945( known as Tim Hill) I joined in 2008. My grandson introduced me to the game. Have not quit playing it since. In the year 2000 I became handicapped. This game has been a blessing. I live in Vincennes Indiana. Looking forward to playing all of you on the course |

Hello people.
I'm 38 and just returning to PGA (with '08) after about 10-15 years! The last time I played was with my friend on his Amiga in the early 90's. I seem to recall just 4 courses being available for that - Sawgrass, and maybe Scottsdale, and can't remember the other 2.
Times have changed I see! Hundreds of courses are now available - thanks to the dedication of the community. In the few different games I've played over the years I can never get over the time people give to creating things to share.
It seems I've returned at a bad time - EA ending their support of '08; and people here migrating elsewhere to participate in tours. With that in mind, it appears I've bought the wrong version to participate in the various tours. I bought a download version but it seems the tour sights require the DVD version :-(
Anyway, I'll see how I play - maybe I won't be good enough for one of the tours!
Good luck to you all. |

Hi... TW08 and TW07 custom courses are created with Course architect06. So you will have to install TW06 game. But when you want to create TW08 custom courses you will also have to install TW08 game. So you will have to install TW06 + TW08 + Course architect 06. Note: You can t compile the custom courses with Vista or Win7. You will have to compile with XP or with Virtual machine.
Some very good tutorials in section Utilities, for example this one on link below:

Also some help below:

Hi,
Im bill from hartford connecticut usa
i just wanted to say hi to anyone who reads this.. and throw out a special thanks to the people who created the TW Caddie and this website....it has made a good game great and goven the game tremendous replay value..... i dont think i will ever play the same course twice in a row now... last year when i first found this site i made a small donation to say thanks. but would now like to do it with my mouth.. or fingers in this case... so .. THANKS!.. and that goes to all the designers of every skill level.. thanks for the time you put in making these courses... i dont think i would have the patience to do it myself... although i have thought about learning so i can add a local course I love.
have a great week everyone |
