It appears some people are having trouble running the installer. Thee have only been a few reports of problems.

I have not yet pin pointed the problem, so in the mean time here is a version that does not require the installer.

PLEASE DO NOT POST THIS VERSION ON YOUR WEB SITE FOR DOWNLOAD, IF SOMEONE NEEDS THIS VERSION SEND THEM HERE TO GET IT.

If you donwload this version please post what problems you were having in detail, so that we can trouble shoot.

Hi there TruBluMich

I keep getting the Tw Caddie encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience message. Tried umpteen times to install and still no luck, even with the no installer software.

Feel really frustrated as was enjoying the courses so much.

Please help.

Thanks
Mark

What operating system are you running.

Do you have .NET Framework 2.0 or higher installed.

Thanx for replying

I run windows xp, 1gb RAM, 250gb hard drive with about 150gb free space. No issues before as the pc runs like a dream. I also have the .NET framework 2.0 installed and windows installer 3.1.

i cannot get course to decompresss without asking me to delete certain files along the way..never had this prob with other cls system...when i try to upload indvidual libs i get kicked back to the start page that lists all the tw games by year etc....why does this new d/ler req you to remove lib rather than just over ridding them and going on...personally i prefer the old clssetup08 for downloading courses...it was simple and effortless...why cant we use either rather than just the new tw caddie???

Go to properties and uncheck Warn if overwriting files in target directory. If you do not want the prompts your referring to.

As for what program you use, there is no official version of clsetup for TW08 which is why we developed TW Caddie for installing courses, as for what program you use, thats completely up to you.

I admit Clsetup is easier to use for most people, mostly because they have been using it for 7 to 8 years.

Can you check your Add/Remove Programs and make sure that you have no other version installed.

It sound like you installed just the tcr file. Try installing the zip file.

Hi Mich

I have checked and I am running only one program of the caddy in add/remove list. I have also checked with Windows update that the .NET and Installer software that I have are genuine. No problems there either.

Just cant get my head around this one.
Regards
Mark

Hi Bigdaddy....

Are you sure you downloaded the correct version ?
There are two different downloads: one for win 32 system....and other download for win 64 system.
You can download both versions on link below ( when you are using win 32 you will need the one on top )

I am having the same problem. I just installed Framework 3.5, and then the tW Caddie 08, without errors. But when I start the program, I get encountered an error and needs to close.
I restarted my computer, and re-installed twice, and nothing works.

Please respond with any advice that you have.

Thanks.

-Mike

It all depends on how big the file is you created and what type of connnection speed you have and what time of day you are downloading.
