I used to always dwnld 1(one) at a time, by that I mean I wud dwnld all the libraries 1 at a time and thn the crs. I had a place for everything and it was easy to bk up. I have the new crs installer and it wrks fine but, why cant I dwnld the way I used to, 1 at a time? With the new site if I want the crs I have to do a zip file dwnld.
"

You should be able to install one library at a time plus the course. I use the new Caddie program and that is generally the way I do it since I already have most of the needed libraries already installed.

Back on the topic...lol
Thought this would be a nice idea, instead of scrollling all the way down to flip to next page on these longer threads. put one of these on top of page also?

You can download one library at a time from the site here. You can also install one library at a time using the new Caddie installer. Like I said before, that is normally the way I do it because I already have most all of the libraries installed on my computer.

Ok, now I got you. Although I dont understand why you would want to unzip the file and install one component at a time?

Downloads have almost doubled since the release of the Installer and problems with installations have droped considerablly. If you want to unzip the .myzip files, you can do so with two different methods. Number 1 rename the file extension to .zip OR Number 2 Download 7-Zip which will uncompress .myzip files.

You have to understand we get about 750k visitors a month I have to create the site to cater to those who have never visited before, making it as easiest as possible for them to download and install courses.

Im not asking for you to change anything, im just making a comment on how the site is now, you did ask.
If you can dwnld and install courses and its libraries one at a time without doing a zip file please let me know how."

As all course and library files are stored on the server in compressed format (.zip) then there is no other way to download them, to download individual courses or libraries will still give you a zip file as that is what is available and has been like that for a number of years now.

It sounds like you are making this WAY more difficult than it should be. You can download courses and libraries individually as has always been the case. I do it with every single course that comes out. It is not a difficult concept.

1) Go to the page for the course you want to download.

2) The page will be divided into 2 sections, the left side with the link to the course and the right side with the library list.

3) If you want to download the course file by itself (not using MyZip), click on the text under select Location that says CourseDownloads.NET. That will begin the downloading of the course zip file.

4) If you want to download a library individually, click on the library name on the right side. You will be taken to a new page that shows stats about the library, a link to download the library, a screenshot of the contents of the library, and the 10 most popular courses that use that library. Just click on the link right below the library stats and the library will begin to download.

That is all there is to it.

Thank you Jeff. This is what I have been trying to tell him all along. Maybe your more detailed explanation will help. It is not really any different that it ever was. Like was said, every course and library IS a zip file just as it always has been, but you dont need to put them in a My Zip folder if you dont want to, again just as it has always been.

Here is an easy way to do this:

Download the course and the libraries that you need one at a time to your desktop or a created folder or wherever.

Go to the individual zip files and one at a time right click on it and choose open with, and then Choose program. Browse to the location where you have the new Caddie program installed and choose it. It will now automatically install that zip file into the game. The next file that you want to install do the same thing again, only from now on the Caddie program will already be in the list of programs to open with

Yes, but that isnt the case with the course itself which will download directly from the course and library page. He did say that he couldnt download the course directly like he used to. I dont know. Maybe he is having some unknown problem.
