yea, we are really going to need some help on this. It is bad news all away around. No setup program, we get around that, and now black structures. I hope others read this post and try to help figure this out. This is a tough one to overcome.......

How about total point count on a course, maybe it has to be even lower in 08? because it seemed to work fine for one hole, but as it gets more complicated it gets worse...

Have you tried different programs to make 3d objects?

I dont know for sure, but theres a couple of suggestions.

Anyone not have this problem? because it seems everyones haveing that problem so it must be the game...

CURSE YOU EA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the stock courses there are no more separate 3D structures. They are all worked into the mesh of the plot somehow. The lighting was already all wrong in TW07, but at least you could see the structures. I dont really see a way around it, but then Im no computer wiz. I have been checking out a program called Customplay Golf, which allows you to create your own courses also, but the demo looks nothing as good as TW. So thats no alternative either.

The way to fix it ??? Is to get EA to do a patch for it. If enough people complain…….Who knows. The XBOX360 game is a mess they patched that up ASAP.

from reading some of the posts on the released 08 courses people seem to be fine with the way things are. I dont know, havent played any of them. Are their Black Structure issues on them? I am so surpised the comments have not been coming back that the structures are black....

Yea Jimi, in 07 the Black Lighting on structures did start showing up, it was work able, but not like it is now. Right now there is not much we can do, the alternative is to play 07 or 06 and not bother with 08. (Just play the stock courses)

Or just deal with that on some lighting settings the structures will be black. For a guy like you who builds structures I know you want to see them. The signs are on the wall they dumped the CA program and now the course installer. It just seems they dont want to accommodate add-on custom made courses anymore. .....It just sucks…I give all the people who stick with it and go forward and build 08 courses, all the credit......

I have played every one of the custom 08 courses that are available and I havent noticed any darkened structures. But I dont know if any newly made structures were used on any of them.

I will go though that one and edgewater. This is my 1st hole the 10th and this is what I found, the club house that sits behind the hole looks ok. Most of the tee markers are black but a few to the left were not.

I remember reading a thread a while back saying all the lighting was the same side of all structures - and thus some structures look glorious from the their lit side and some look too dark from their shadow side - but I havent spent the time to look into this much yet...
