Does anyone run an ATI card above an X300 and can see water moving on a custom course?

ATI will do it because I have an ATI Radeon in my laptop and have seen moving water. I do not know what which ATIs produce moving water, but ATIs do work. Look in your TW manual or in the TW folder for a TXT file that lists the supported 3D cards. If you ATI is listed there then it should support moving water.

Yeah, I can see moving water on the stocks, just not the customs.
