First, pardon the basic questions, but Im relatively new to installing
downloaded courses. And Id really like to get this one working before
Thursday!I have TW2K6, and the Course Architect installed. I downloaded the
Augusta 06 course, along with all the mentioned libraries. I installed
the libraries into the library folder in TW2K6, and then installed the
course into a new folder called Augusta in the Courses folder. It shows up in my course list, but when I try to play it, I see about
1/10th of the loading bar, and then the game quits, dumping me back on
the desktop.Suggestions as to what Ive done wrong?thanks-rob.

Its hard to say, but in order to always get the course installed correctly, you should DL Jorgens setup tool and always use that to install courses. All you do is choose the .zip file of the course and click ok. The program does the rest for you. There are probably a few files (.ini or additional libs or something) that you have missed by doing it maunally.

Getting kicked back to the desktop is typical of a missing library. Go back over your list of libraries and make sure that you have every library required for this course. As has been mentioned, use Jorgens installer to install the courses and libraries. If you use that installer and are missing a library, the program will tell you that you are missing a library. Go through the writeup in the Tutorials/FAQ forum on how to install courses. That is the main advice I can give. It really sounds like you are missing a library.

GatesGali,Your problem has been answered in the thread that you started in
another forum. Your issue is not the same as the problem
originally posted here. The problem you are having is with your
display drivers. Either you have a driver problem (try updating
your display drivers) or that your graphics card cannot handle the
graphics for this particular course (which would only be resolved by
updating your video card).

Did you download and install the Course Architect from EAs website? That sounds like the same problem many have when they dont already have the Architect (Or are missing one of the libraries needed for the custom course).

You didnt download and install ALL of the libraries that you need. Go back to the Augusta 06 page and you will see a list of custom libraries that you need. Just downloading ONE library wont do it. That is why we take the time to actually list the libraries that you need.

All I can advise you on is to open up Course Utilities and make sure
you have every library that is listed on the Augusta page along with
all of the 06 stock libraries that come with the game and the
libraries that are added when you install the Course Architect
program. The message you are getting is a result of a missing
library. I dont know how to make it any clearer.

If you downloaded Augusta 06, you have been to the Augusta page. If you are getting kicked to the desktop, try reinstalling the game. More than likely you have accidentally uninstalled a stock library that is used for some of the custom courses you are trying.

You dont do anything with the Architect program other that INSTALL
IT! The CA program contains Architect Libraries that are needed
for almost every single custom course that is created. You need
these libraries! All you have to do is download the program,
double click on the EXE to install it and be done with it. The
libraries install automatically.

How about actually LOOKING the Augusta course page! There is a specific section that says REQUIRED LIBRARIES. If you click on THOSE links you will get the custom libraries you need.

I am NOT going to hold your hand through this process. I have given you the instructions on how to install the course and libraries. You just choose not to thoroughly read what I have written. Look at that list of libraries you posted. I told you to go to the Augusta course page, download the libraries listed there and install them. If you look at the list of libraries you posted, almost every single one you posted is CLEARLY listed as a required library for Augusta. The only ones that are not listed on that page are Architect, Walls & Fences and Buildings. Those are ARCHITECT LIBRARIES that I have told you and many others in previous messages that are bundled with the TW2006 Course Architect program. If you download that program from the EA Sports web site, those libraries are installed for you.

Why dont YOU get YOUR facts straight, bud. If you took the time to look at the Augusta 06 page, you would CLEARLY see that Augusta Tree IS listed as a required library. And NO I did not update the page. It has been listed as a required library from the day the course was released. So why dont you get off of your high horse. You made a mistake by not looking at the page correctly and seeing what is required. Dont you dare throw that back on me or any other staff at this site. Some users are just downright ungrateful for what is done on this site and would rather throw blame on the staff of this site than to take the time to admit that they dont follow the instructions properly.

thadeuce,All I can say is if you dont like the way I treat people, find
somewhere else to visit. If you took the time to look at other
posts I have made you will find that I am very respectful of people and
go out of my way to help people that take the time to help
themselves. We have provided a lot of resources on this site for
people to get the answers themselves, especially for common questions
like how to install courses or how to get flags into the game.
Yet people dont want to take the time to look for stuff like
that. They hide behind excuses like Im computer stupid, but I
really love this game. Please help me! They dont take the
time to look for the answers themselves and would rather have someone
spoon feed them them everything. That is when my helpful attitude
changes. I do not have patience for people that will not bother
to take the time to figure things out themselves. I do not have
patience for people that come onto this site with guns-a-blazing
expecting everyone to just drop what they are doing because they have a
problem that they havent taken the time to try to fix
themselves. I do not have patience for people that come on and
say I read your stupid instructions and they didnt work for me.
Obviously there is something wrong with YOUR instructions because it
certainly couldnt be me. This is YOUR problem. FIX IT!
Even you in your initial post on this site above came out blaming us
for something that was clearly your fault. So we turn into the
scapegoats for your ignorance. And we are just supposed to sit
back and take it? Give me a break! We have posted over and over and over again to look in the FAQ forum
FIRST, yet new users come right on and their first post is Can someone
tell me how to install a course? You people expect us to be on
the site 24/7 to answer every single question you have the second you
post it without taking a little initiative to look for the
answer. You say you have looked all over, but somehow havent
found it. Yet you were able to find the forum to post your
question while completely missing the place that has the answer, the
place that is clearly marked for such things. That is just plain
lazy!We will help those who legitimately cannot find an answer. We
will gladly help them anytime. But we do not have the time to
continue to answer the same questions over and over again for people
who are too lazy to look up one forum to find the answer. As I said from the start, if you dont like the way that we as OWNERS of this site run it, find somewhere else.
