Easy fix when you have the error message: Video card not officially supported and not enough video card memory and direct x error.
( That is when you installed TW08 on windows 10 or windows 11 or windows 8 )
Download the attached zipfile, and extract or unzip it first.
Now you will see two files named:
DDraw.dll
TW2008.exe
Now copy both files, and paste both files into the bin folder of the TW08 game installation!
The bin folder is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\bin
So you have to paste both files in the bin folder of TW08.
When you are asked to overwrite TW2008.exe......say: Yes
After that it should be possible to start the game.
You can also try to remove the TW08 disc, it should also work without the TW08 disc inserted in your DVD drive.

| I second that much better way of overcoming the issue of keep switching Ram , Sally my partner got herself a new laptop and she loves the game to, we did this new fix and ran right away and no need to have the disk in which with fewer and fewer machines having DVD drives saves getting an external too. Many thanks Pat from both Sally and myself. |

| Aloha, in this case I think technology is too much for an older game, no error message, just won't load. |

You probably already tried to run the game in compatibility mode:
Right click TW05 icon....and choose: properties...compatibility...and check box: run this program in compatibility mode.......and in the list select: windows xp ( service pack 3 ) |

Wherever this came from, I'm extremely grateful. Not only does it work in TW08, but it works in every Tiger Woods version, from TW2003 - TW08. Yes, that includes TW2005, which I could never get to work on Windows 7. All you have to do is copy the "DDraw.dll" file into the "bin" folder in each of the TW games. I'm now using Windows 10 to play my computer games and they are all working now. Totally awesome!

| THANK YOU!! I've had a second PC sitting here just to run TW 2008, I could never get the earlier Windows 10 fixes to work. Now I have it running on Windows 11 Pro and can move this PC off my desk... |
