I am curious how you are able to use Led Zeplin and other Rock Bands'''' songs in your videos. Did you obtain copyright permissions? I tried embedding two rock groups on an old YT channel and got got a warning for "copyright" infringments. I only use YT supplied music in my videos in my new channel.

My channel was cancelled 3 times had millions and millions of views the only thing I''ve got left is a back up channel on YouTube. Most of the Led Zeppelin stuff is bootlegs unless it is a bootleg of Stairway to Heaven they will let them play. I remastered many of these old recordings. The Quadraphonic mixing may not match up with the YouTube sound recognition software because of how I mixed them in my sound studio, they never get blocked. It is weird like for years YouTube blocked my Jean Van de Velde It doesn''t matter video cause it uses an old Def Leppard song but now that one is unblocked. I got no advise on this stuff for years they blocked a mix up I did from isolated tracks from Led Zeppelin II. You could take the guitar from Whole Lotta Love and have Ramble On singing with the bass and drums from other songs. Now that one is allowed to play.
Google / YouTube also screwed with the algorithms. In the old days I would have 15 videos from Carnoustie and all my other videos showed up on the right side. Now you go watch Scotland in December and YouTube would never suggest Putting on Ice which goes with that video. Shine on You Crazy Frenchman had like 10 parts, you can''t even find them.
At the peak of YouTube I could put out a splash screen video of my newest course, a crappy promo video and in a week it would get thousands of views. At the end of my career I was getting at least 25,000 views on new releases. Now I get less than 10. Some of the videos I re uploaded to this Hyno Designs v.III had 3 or 4 million views now on this channel they got less than 100.

The custom players with the custom outfits are a big part of the overall concept here at Hyno Designs
Took a break from Muirfield and created some more players and fixed up some of the ones that didn''t turn out that great.
Jon Rahm''s belt:
Jon Rahm and Tony Finau both wear their hats kind of flat so the trucker hat fits both these players. Rahn''s outfit was his normal final round with the red shirt and blue pants and to be honest it was kind of boring. Than I didn''t like the white belt I made for him.
Had these pictures from last years US Open and was like I am going to pull his belt out and make his final round at Torrey Pines outfit. So built his belt and grabbed the colors for his shirt and pants. The shirt is a two tone pink. Was like how can I do this? Just tried a two tone shirt on Joaquin Niemann but Rahm''s is a little harder. Than found a texture that would work for this.
Was watching Muirfield 2002 while designing and I forgot about Gary Evans the no name player who had the lead and lost his ball on 17 and still made par. I built Gary back in 2005 and just kept porting him over. Was like why not make him a new outfit and found a picture of him in a real cool sweater and was like wonder if you could make that cashmere sweater look. It worked and it turned out awesome, than did Collin Morikawa from the 2020 PGA and that sweater worked on him. Gary Woodland was one of the worst designs that I made and the custom outfit was even worse. Was like maybe this sweater thing would help. Gary Woodland at Pebble was than created. Which lead to Jon Rahm.
I had done Greg Norman from the 89 British years ago and I always wanted to do Mark Calcavecchia. Calvac was a stock player back in 03 and wanted to get a copy of his face texture or even some how port over that player file but had no luck. That iconic Fila orange shirt thought would hard to create and it really was not. Since I did those two than built Wayne Grady.
Guess I am going to have to do a short video of this to show all these new players instead of posting pictures.

Muirfield is coming along, and it is getting better by the day. It has taken a bit longer than expected. Just thought how crazy my setup is. Here is a picture, got the CA opened working on the course, have google earth open on my main computer, than got my custom made DVR playing the coverage from the 2013 British Open running in the backround.

I am pretty much old school basically still use the custom created 2004 libs on all my courses. So I've been using Judds Walls_n_Stuff all these years. The stupid wall on 9, was testing it out and I was trying to hit golf balls in to it. Here is the deal the wall does not have the correct reaction properties set so the ball goes right through it. It took me 18 years to figure this out.
Muirfield the redesigned has been way harder to do than I ever thought. Kept hearing the broadcasters say how great the par 3's are on this course. From building it before I was like I don't see it. The goal was to up the level of the par 3's.
Google earth the elevations on this course are off, I can tell by eye. Tee to green on 15 is not 25 feet down hill. Hole 7, I had no idea if the hole is uphill or downhill. My 1st attempt was downhill on this redesign. Than I am watching coverage and was like this has to be uphill.
Than playing with the hole. If I move the hole 7 feet right the flight in to the green looks better. If I move the next tee box down over this way it will look better, if I shape the rough here it will blend better. If the path in to the green is curved this way it gives a better look. The mound on the left if I raise it 12 feet it may just work. Behind the green lets add 4 more feet of fairway down a slope. Let's raise the bunkers in the front of the green and lower the fairway going in to it. This was a pretty boring Par 3 on the original now it is like wow. #4 turned out even better than this. Just got to re-work 13 we will be done with the Par 3's.

Bobby as you know, I only do one set of tees and this was really the course that was the reason. Back in 05, I remember going online and on EA Sports server seeing they set up a tournament playing this course from the ladies tees. As the designer you want the player to play the test you designed and not play the course at 5,700 yards. At that time, it was decided all courses in the future come with only one set of tees. The members tees and ladies tees are for visual looks only however the player can not play them.
On to Brookline, I remember watching the US Open back in 88 on TV and actually taped it and the playoff than watching the 99 Ryder Cup. The USGA totally gutted this course. Oakmont 94 vs 07 was a totally different course and this US Open course is no different. Don't even recognize the golf course it is like they merged Oakmont in to Merion and reshaped some of the greens in to Winged Foot than put the Bethpage bunker lashes around the bunkers. Than changed the routing and some of the actual holes. I don't know how the USGA gets away with this. I played Merion maybe 10 months after the US Open and just for the event, they moved 11th fairway 20 yards over. When I was playing the course the club was moving the fairway back to the original place. The 17th hole had a million trees they took them all out, the USGA turned it in to a links hole down a quarry.
Pinehurst 99, the restoration work was great and by 2014 they wrecked the entire golf course. They come in and change the rules, putting with pins in, retarted ball dropping techniques, new OB rules, they are destroying the traditions. Brookline never looked like this, Oakmnont only ever had no trees only when it first opened.
Torrey Pines I played the old design, it was an easy golf course they were shooting lights out in the 80's. I will give them credit on that one. Bethpage was another project. This was a great course but it was a municipal complex so the condition of all the courses was poor, When I played the course back in the 90s the driving range was literal batting cages.

One more thing the tradition for the US Open was 18 hole playoffs and they changed that as well.

This next segment is a course design study.
Making a great par 3
For this example going to use the Bethpage stock course from 06. This is the 3rd hole.
You need movements and ups and downs and terrain going all over the place.
How do we make this hole look and play better in the game.
Drop the bunkers more give them weed rough bunker lashes than add in a fairway in the front than add drop offs maybe 5 yards out around the back and the side of the green. Now this hole would look really good than just this bland looking hole we got from EA Sports.

On this Muirfield re-do was watching the Golf Monthly YouTube videos for each hole. When the guy was playing out of the chipping area on #4 saw something and was like wow. Ok we can add a ridge slope down to the left of the green than on the other side add in that mound from the video, than drop off that chipping area next to the mound. Going in to the green have it go up. Put a bank hill just short of the green. Had to work on the shaping of the green to get the perfect look. Than on the tee shot blend the new tee in to the old tees for visual flyover effects. I never saw this hole from the 92 British or the 02 British video looking like this or from the 2013 coverage it was the Golf Monthly video and than pictures. All of a sudden an ok Par 3 from the past turns in to a great hole. This was by luck. It is taking that method I was talking about in the Bethpage post and adding in all kinds of movement.
Most people say #13 is the best par 3 on this course right for me it is the weakest but this hole 4 turned out the best.

This bunker technique is actually really simple and basic. When I did Birkdale used a new method that was similar to the 04 stock course and I like those British Open bunkers better but they don't fit on all British Open courses. Don't remember what I used on Royal Liverpool, but Turnberry, St. George's, Carnoustie and Prestwick I used this Muirfield method on Portrush, St. Sabastian, Royal Lytham, Western Gales used the 04 Birkdale method.
My favorites are the Merion bunkers and the Oakmont bunkers. The Oakmont bunker was the hardest method to do. This Murphy Creek course which is in this set, use the bunker lashes but it is my standard normal smooth out a ton of times normal course bunker.
Back to Muirfield: I've now blown up the 13th hole for like the 7th time. Even moving it around in the layout. The mounding in to the green and around the green is extremely difficult to get the look that I want. Even the path way in to the hole. A slight curve rather than straight I think looks better. The hole was playing about 11 feet up hill. The stupid Google earth says it is 16 feet up, just tried that and now it looks too much uphill. Got a couple ideas will continue to work on it.
In the video department:
I've been slacking, have not rendered or put together any of the recent majors. On the US Open, I've been terrible. Never put together the 2020 Open and was looking around and right now the disks from the 2021 US Open 3rd and 4th rounds are missing.
I record everything to DVD this is standard definition and I play them on a great LCD that this kind of material looks good. The powers that be, hated us having VCR's, the DVD recorders never took off and HD recorders in the USA, I don't know if they have ever been released. Understand that people can take the HD cable signal and record direct to the PC and capture in 1920x1080. On the British Open events or the Masters I like getting all 4 rounds the complete folders for these events on standard def are rather large. HD would be monster size files.
2022 Majors Some of the disks I recorded to were bad and they have bad sectors. 3 of this years Masters disks and now only 1 from the PGA. Which I only need like 5 minutes of footage to complete.
ISO Busters can usually help pull bad or missing data from DVD's. My computer with ISO Buster, the DVD drive doesn't work, the internet connection port doesn't work, one of the speakers is blown out and the keyboard doesn't fully work. That one was my best computer.
Thinking about this yesterday, been so lazy, got to take that Laptop to my computer repair guy to fix. That PC has been this way for about 3 years now. So I got to buy another copy of the ISO Busters for my Windows 10 machine and see if I can get the data and complete these recordings. I've just been recording these for too long since 1987.
2017 was going to be my last year and that year did every round in the Majors the production took a long time to do. I was glad I didn't quit because all 4 rounds of the 2019 Masters was good to have than the 2020 Masters in November as well. Of course the British Open at Portrush, that one I was for sure going to get every shot played on TV.

Muirfield is now pretty much in the books, after 7 or 8 attempts finally got hole #13 the way I wanted. This time around went extra on all the Par 3's. Stayed true to my original release but this course was 100% rebuilt from a flat land plot. The wind dictates the scoring one round may seem easy than the next round is a lot harder. It is a fun course to play.
My notes:
The course shaping is now pretty much spot on. The cart paths were always really good on this course so didn't really change the patterns.
The planting: Added to it using the same style as before and the walls were fixed and made straight.
Yardage & Bunkers Added in all the extra yardage except on hole 2. Always liked how that hole played at 350 yards and pretty much was able to clone copy what I did in the past. The new bunkers and removed bunkers were all updated as well.
Textures: The old texture set was pretty good on this course but this new TEXMOD set which is my best was used to give the 2013 British Open look. Year to year the look of these courses in real life is always changing. Royal St. George's 93 to 03 is a totally different course. Just as 2011 to 2021 looked completely different. In other words your never going to get the perfect look on these British Open courses,

Talked about this fictional design, Duneberry Links in this post, put together the promo video.
I guess this design was kind of like a test to see if I lost my creative talents as I got older. Once I started getting in to this design nothing seemed to be gone and some of the talents may have gotten better. Fictional designs take a lot of skill that is if they are good. Any one can make a goat ranch. Overall you are trying to create a real life experience that is completely fictional that could be built in real life. It is hard, you got to think of all the features, the hole design, bunker placement, green shapes and even planting.
Muirfield is done so I am off to Augusta.
Understand EA sports did a professional version with the console games and it will be the headline course with their new PGA game next spring. Who knows if they will do a PC version of the game. Here is the deal, decided this TW07 game is my golf game and I want a good Augusta to play. This time around using Ghostit was able to trace the holes from Augusta's website so I am able to now fix the mistakes I did on the 05 course. Back in 05 copied the hole locations aka course map out of the Masters program guide and now in 2022 matched to google earth well the location of North was wrong so the sun reflections and position in the sky was off. This course has 9,000 tree's on it. Because this is a hybrid course was able to save a lot of the planting from the original course to save hours at the same time building completely new holes. Yes North is also now in the correct position. 10, 11, 12 and 13 with the angles are now true to the real course. Just to have Rae's creek angled perfect in to 12 green is a game changer. 16 was able to get amazing shapes for that one as well. For me it just getting the elevation to blend around 10 green that means 14, 15, 18 & 17 elevations are all effects. So I am downloading Ken's course and the PGAX course to see what they did on Augusta to get ideas,
