| I am working on porting a course from PGA 2000 to TW 2008. I have spent almost all day working on recording and finding recordings for the sounds I used in the PGA 2000 course. I created a library with the TW 06 library creator and TW 06 and TW 08 recognize it. I added the sounds to the course architect file and compiled it. I have just played it on TW 08 and NONE of my sounds are registering. Does anyone have experience with creating a library of sounds and can help? I have checked the elevation data for each sound and checked off the loop option. Thanks. |

I believe the sounds must be WAV files:
The following specs are from Stefanie2k6, thanks Stefanie,
Bitrate: 88 kbps - 176kbps
Audio Sample Size: 8 bit - 16bit
Channels: 1 (mono)
Audio Sample Rate: 11 kHz - 22kHz
Audio Format: PCM
This keeps them small enough to add quite a few sounds to make a library.

Thanks for the quick reply. The only thing I can see that is different is that all my files are in stereo. Other than that they are WAV and in the correct format. I will redo the sounds and put them into mono format. Any ideas on creating a picture for the sound? Does the sound have to be normalized? Some of the sounds I am using are low in volume.

| Does anyone here that reads these posts have any experience making a sound library that actually works with TW 08? I tried the suggestions and every thing works great in TW 2006, but NO sound with TW 08. All the textures that I created (two libraries) are showing up and working, but not the sound library. This course has some unique sounds that make it more realistic and are needed. I am willing to send someone the sounds in a .zip file to have them make a library that works with TW 08. Thanks. |
