I''''''''m happy to be back playing TW08, TW07, TW06 after a longer pause.

I notice that in TW08 you get all different shots for your avatar right at the start, and by performing well in the training your "Confidence" for a shot or for a specific hole is improved.
But what about the specific shot lessons? Are they still included in TW08? In TW06 all shots have tutorials that exactly explain what a shot is good for and how it works, which is very useful. Do these lessons appear later in the game in TW08, or have they been removed?

Whatsoever, if it can help someone, I have retrieved the scripts for the lessons in TW06, the shot basics remain the same in all versions. The first lines are what you see in the description of the shots, the "Details" are what you see during the lessons. Some lines are still incomplete, I will edit this post later to completre them.

Here it comes:

-------------------------------------------------------------
Introductory Flop Shot
----------------------

Perfect for flying over obstacles the flop shop is designed to hit the ball a short distance, but with a lot of height and very little roll after landing.

Details:
A flop shot is great when you need a high trajectory shot to get the ball over a tree, a bunker, or a hill, but don''''''''t want it to roll off the green.

Introductory Punch Shot
-----------------------

the punch shot is an invaluable recovery shot that allows the ball to fly lower than normal, usually to avoid wind, trees, or other obstacles.

Details:
A punch shot is very useful when you find yourself needing to hit a low trajectory shot to stay underneath an obstacle such as a tree or in order to recover from an errant tee or approach shot.

Introductory High Spin Shot
---------------------------

Backspin is invaluable to any golfer''''''''s game. It causes shots to fly higher, and can make the ball stop or even roll backwards on the green.

Details:

Introductory Power Shot
-----------------------

The power shot helps to shorten the fairway and can make hitting a par-5 in two much more possible.

Intermediate Chipping
---------------------

Bump & Run:
The Bump & Run is a chip shot to the green where the ball lands short of the flagstick and then rolls towards the hole.

Details:
The Bump & Run is a low trajectory chip shot which spends little time in the air and rolls to the pin. It is effective when you have a lot of green between your ball and the pin.

Intermediate Sand Shot
----------------------

Shots out of the sand depend on the ball''''''''s lie. If buried, then blast your way out - if the ball is sitting up nicely, a pick may be in order.

Details:
You execute a blast shot out of the sand by moving back in your stance, a pick shot by moving forward in your stance. Move the slider accordingly in TW2006 to reach the goal you want.

Advanced Driving
----------------

When driving the ball, where you stand can make a lot of difference. Move forward to hit higher drives, perfect for clearing obstacles - move back to keep the drive low and less affected by wind. The Ball-in-stance slider in TW2006 will setup how you drive.

On the Novice setting it's easy for sure, I didn't try the Expert setting yet.
