Hi, I have always thought that 4 GB of ram was always enough for computer to run well. With my new computer did not foresee any problems with Windows 10 as I have on my Laptop and another computer that has windows 10 and Tiger Woods 08 really was no problem to play. Now I bought a new desktop with Windows 10 and have every sort of problems I could not have image. So after weeks of trying to get it to play 08, the reduce memory to 4095 worked and now I can get in 18 holes any time I like. Couldn't ask for a nice game to play golf on as it is just beautiful looking with all the course and loads so fast, BUT my computer sucks other than playing 08. I am not asking for any quick fixes but just wanted to say that the 4 GB of memory just isn't enough for some computers

Hiya Rob,
When you don t play TW08, then you can uncheck the box: Max of memory, , then you will have automatic the full amount of memory back.
When you play TW08 then you will have to check the box Max of memory again and set it to 4095
A bit of hassle maybe, but that should work.

Yes I am doing that.... but I was surprised that 4gb of memory was not enough, I was not complaining, just making a statement that what I've been believing isn't always true about memory. Thanks Pat

Depending on what you are doing with your computer a simple rule of thumb is:

2GB: Good only for stripped-down tablets, budget Chromebooks
4GB: Minimum for budget Windows and MacOS systems, great for Chromebooks
8GB: Excellent for Windows and MacOS systems
16GB: Probably overkill for most; ideal for mid-range workstations
32GB and beyond: Enthusiasts and purpose-built workstations only

Remember, buying more RAM than you need doesnt net you any performance benefit. Its effectively wasted money.

Rislay , you have an Nvidia GPU 750 ti, the latest Driver Version 378.49 , this Driver has caused a lot of trouble with some high end games, it seems to eat up Memory, you can try this or do a roll back , if the computer is new though you may hot have the older driver to roll back to.

A fix for this is to delete this driver 378.49 , add remove , control panel

Try this as it fixed lots of peoples probs.
Got to NVidia download drivers archive and download the driver 376.33 to your desktop first.
Delete the driver 378.49 , then double click on the desktop file 376.33 to install , do not go with the Express install , I think it is advanced then chose Clean install.

Did you try the DDraw-wrapper-dll method? It has the same effect without restricting your system ram.

Just copy the attached DDraw.dll into the /bin folder of the game!

The attached DDraw.dll (DDraw wrapper dll) just bypasses the memory error message of the game on Windows 10.

If you want a higher resolution editing of the DXWrap.dll is required, with widescreen patcher or manually by hex-editing.

You can use the widescreen patcher - Pat posted instructions ...

http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=8879&forum=11

or you can use the attached files:
- Game GUI set to widescreen 1920x1080
- 800x600 = 1920x1080
- 1680x1050 = 2560x1440 (probably not selectable in your game?)

Hey Rob

Don''t know about Win 10. But on my Win 7 machine, I''m using the same vid card(nVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti). I''m using nVidia driver 355.82(for the 64bit home premium OS)Works
great. After reading your post, I checked "dxdiag" and its showing that I have 8GB installed
but when I click the Display Tab it is showing only 4041 Total memory. My point is the
DRIVER 355.82...All the years of computor tikering I have checked the manufatuoring date
of my vid card and only use DRIVERS that have been released a couple of months after the
card has come out. Have tryed the "latest driver"but they always seemed to not works as
well or barley at all. Hope this helps.

dawg8/Steve

P.S. Keep your fantastck courses coming
