Not sure if the community was aware of this....but if you place the snd file that I've attached in the course folder of any course, you will get background/ambient sounds in game! (the snd file is taken from The K Club stock course)..... |

I found this out a while back and started using the snd file of Birkdale04 on my British Open courses and even Royal Orleans, it is cause it has the wiping wind sound, however if you use the snd file it overrides the sounds which were placed on the course.
If someone really gets advanced with this, you can add extra sounds and so forth and even x y plot them to the layout. |

Kchavis,
When I attempt to download the file attachment, I get an Error 404 message. But, more importantly, do you just copy and paste the sound file into the course file or do you have to load the course into the game with the sound file in the course file when you unzip it? |

Yes as Mike said the attachment link is not working. kchavis, you have to put the .ini file in a zipfile first. When it is in a zipfile, and you attach the zipfile then it will work. |

Sorry guys...let me know if this works.....if not, you can simply take the snd file from The K Club stock course and place it in any course folder (copy and paste)...and if you are able to use this file, you would have to unzip it first. (it provides more of a "wall of sound" when mixed in with the natural wind or bird sounds from a course...its sounds pretty good.... |

This is great, I've added custom ambient sounds to individual holes using the snd.ini I love how mod friendly the sounds are in this game. It's quite easy to change gallery and commentary sounds. |
