I started this thread because the other thread that it was in wasn't really descriptive of what I am trying to do. I wanted to start a journal thread to let you folks know that there is a series out there of a career mode in TW08 PC to look at. There is a fair bit of work that goes into one of these episodes so your feedback is much appreciated since I want to make these videos better as time goes on.
You can watch Rd 1 coverage of The Sony Open that I just posted to YouTube.
https://youtu.be/aiCJkpI1Y3I
or you can follow the whole career here:

Thanks everyone for sharing your insights and constructive criticism. Please continue to do so! |

You could enhance the on screen display by installing the 9 point slider and coloured cup interior , down loads http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/details.asp?id=635
http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/details.asp?id=779
Also if you don`t mind me saying you just seem to hit the ball { as-is } not using the slider to alter shot distance.
After you tee off {par 4 say } and the ball comes to s stop , Click on overhead map {white spot } that''s your ball, the information given there is elevation to the green + or - yardage / alter shot distance accordingly with slider. + elevation add yards ect:
You can read putts on the green with the 4 key picture attached with pink cup.
next reply Is picture when clicking on white spot = ball on overhead map. |

next picture over head map information display :) btw your putting is worse than mine :)
Also for real fun I now play 2 click {I know peeps will say huh! } but I play 2 click expert with no yardage chart , makes hitting the ball easy but also makes it like the real thing. The pictures are just Novice in the Fedex Cup
This link is for Player Model Severiano Ballesteros , I had to try my best to make the great man for TW 2008 , 100% attributes and a few Million Dollars. http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/details.asp?id=796 |

I will try the slider change, but am unsure as to why you get that I don''t use the current slider because it gets used liberally. In your pic, you have the putting grid active. I am trying to make the game harder for me and playing on expert is way out of my league. For that reason I have deactivated the putting grid and I was right, the game is much harder without it. I do not use the overhead as this gets in the way of the overall scenery of the shot when recording. I do use the caddie function but do not use the landing area function. The pros do not have that so I don''t either. Any other suggestions are welcome!! |

I rather like the slider. It makes it more visible that's for sure.
I will try the 2-click method, but the only thing is that if you need to shape a shot around some trees or something, you can't.
The one thing I like about the way that I'm putting is that most pros have the most difficulty with the short game, that is putting. I agree my putting without the grid is atrocious. My hat is off to all those masters out there on expert that can putt on or from anywhere. |

I tried some different setting on my rendering software and I'm not sold on them. Looks really good after rendering, but once it gets to YouTube not so much IMHO. Please let me know what you think. Thanks everyone for sharing your insights and constructive criticism. Please continue to do so! |

Good to see Foggy has improved his game. He needs to concentrate on his putting now. I wonder where he got those 70's bell bottoms? I could do with a pair of those. |

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.
No course in the works: retired. |

I think he is trying to set a trend on tour. I think that you have had enough experience to know that what once was comes full circle in time, especially where fashion is concerned. :-) |
