Bill, thank you for your contributions, you will be missed by at least some of the community. I have always enjoyed your efforts.

I second that.

We are using a lot of Bill's courses on Golf-4fun Tour, so we are a bit shocked about his decision. Also we know what Bill posted and quite don't understand why it was removed. Well, it's none of our business why it was removed, so we won't comment that.

Bill, I guess we don't have to ask you for permission to share your courses or libraries with our members? JPDenny will contact you, because we think that your tremendous work for the TW community should be saved somehow.

JO i second that statement 1000% it will be a big loss for the entire golf world that many have know for the past 7 years plus ever since EASO went offline, and all this drama over FREEDOM OF SPEECH that is everyones right to have.

To Bill I know many will have you back on what ever choice you make
Cheers my friend JP Denny

"Money is the ROOT of ALL evil" and this situation is no different! A site that was glorious in it's heyday (while EASO was up and running) fast forwarded to a Master Puppeteer and this person's ability to manipulate those he "called" his friends and the paying public.
Many individuals paid money yearly to play and after the "plug" was pulled nary a refund was to be had and funds continued to be reoccurring in some cases. It was that sensation of being a yo-yo snapped in and out because of hearsay and unequivocal proof of any wrong doings or goings on that thinned out the troops and caused the eventual demise of CGX. I really miss playing at PGAX/CGX and enjoyed it immensely, but the undaunting skill of walking on "thin" ice was rather difficult to cope with.
Bill I definitely did not see a thing wrong with your truthful comments, it is what it is, as a wise hillbilly once told us and it's no different in this situation!

I should have send a message to Bill, with an explaination why i deleted his post in the Forum.
I just send him a meassage ( a bit late ), i hope he will change his mind.
When he wants me to delete his courses then i will follow his request, but it will be with big pain in the heart.
We are fighting hard to keep this site alive, losing Bill his courses would be another big loss.

I was involved with the PGAX/CGX team for some time and regret it's passing very much as it tried something not even the Pro Cyber Golfing sites(there seems to be none) have even attempted as of yet!
I knew Stu contributed massively to the sites upkeep in the latter stages but did not know it was quite that much! I contributed about $300-400 a year and put countless hours in on the design front as I loved the fact we played both premier Pro Golf tours each week and did it quite well!
I know during my time as a member I was involved with many tallented and passionate guys who I wish had been able to stay onboard regardless of the problems we all encountered!
I hope you reconsider Bill,I always considered you one of the finest and knowledgable designers and would hate to see your work removed from Cyber Golfs greatest library!

I just want to post that Bill his courses and libraries are still on Coursedownloads.
He is one of the best designers and his contribution to the community is huge.
Big thanks Bill, much appreciated, it will make a lot of people happy, including me.

I''m glad to hear it. It would be a great loss if Bill''s many great courses were lost to the site.

Stu, I knew you helped out financially with Pgax/CGX but I had no idea the extent you were helping. A belated thanks from me for that. Hope you and your family are well.

Cheers

It saddens me to see this happened to a great golf community that lasted so long. I really missed playing with you guys on Tiger Woods 08. Anybody that wants to get up with me you can find me on Steam and my Steam name is Ten24 Riverrunt, just look me up and send me a friend's request. I still play some golf on a game named The Golf Club and the game also has a course designer. The game does not support three click, you either play true swing or you can play with an Xbox controller on your computer. You can check out the game here. http://thegolfclubgame.com/ be sure to click on videos tab. Hope all you guys have a great day and hope to see you on Steam.

It's always sad to see one of the TW08 community websites being gone. On the other hand, there are now courses released that the community would have never been able to play, some courses with a WOW-effect. The TW08 community is not dead at all, thanks to the CourseDownloads peeps, the great designers who still release courses and all other guys who keep running tours and leagues for TW08.

As Co-Admin of a "up and running" community website I can tell you that we only shutdown the support for TW08 when the lights go off - globally!

The Golf Club (I do own the game)
A while ago I posted screenshots of a tuned TW08, revamped with Reshade MasterEffect ReBorn on HighRes, that do look way better and more realistic than the "NextGen! Unity-Engine Mess" The Golf Club - no offense toward you or The Golf Club, Riverrunt.

Just to let you all know I was one of the original founders of PGAX. PGAX was started in 2003 or 2004. McBruce, Zee, Me and Jimbo were the founders that started PGAX and ended with CGX. I have not played Tiger Woods golf in the last 5 years. I got burned out on the game and course design. I left PGAX 5 years ago, but every now and then I would stop in and say hello to everyone. JoSummer I did not put my post here to put down Tiger Woods 08 or any community here. I put my post here so that the ones that know me had a way to find me if they wanted to. The Golf Club is a good game and it also has the course designer and it is still a work in progress and I enjoy playing it very much. At least HB Studios had people in mind to put the course designer in the game. Not like EA did after Tiger Woods 08. Have a great day all.
