Sorry if this has been asked and answered before but I couldn't find any help searching the forum.
Part 1 - I just had to upgrade, the screen on my old laptop (Windows Vista64)died. Is there a solution, easy hopefully, to transfer the courses that I have already downloaded to my new laptop without having to re-download the courses again?
Part 2 - My new laptop has Windows 8, do I still need to use the TW Caddie to download a course?
Thanks in advance for any help. Musty |

Hi there Yes its possible without downloading everything all over again, but u said your notebook's screen died.If its possible to transfer files from old notebook copy the course and libraries folder (c:/Program files/EA Sports/Tiger Woods PGA Tour08...if you installed game in default location) to a folder on your new laptop. Then with Caddie on your new laptop you install each library and course file seperately. However if u install the course files u will loose all information(splash screen, logo, flag, description). What u do then after installing all course files is copy all files under each course's name(from the folder where u installed the files) to the corresponding folder under the game directory overwriting all.Now the courses will have everything splash, logo etc.Caddie is used for installing files and sync your libraries and not for downloading :-). This is the easiest way I can think off Hope you manage to salvage your courses... |

Sorry i almost forgot What u can do to simplify installing all the library files without installing 1 by 1 is put all library files in 1 .zip then right click .zip and open with caddie. |

Yes as Stylar said you can make one big zipfile of your courses folder, and also make one big zipfile of your libraries folder. Some help on link below:

Just a Note: when you put all your libraries in 1 zip file & you then use the TW Caddie to open them.. you will have to click 'OK' for each library as it is installed.. IMHO only Zip 25-50 libraries at a time, this will give you finger a break after each zip file.. it can get old fast if you put all your libraries in 1 folder and you have to click 500 times or more :) ....think about it... ed |
