I posted a new topic entitled "uninstalling buildings from library" and received a good reply.
I have installed Whistling Straits with no problem. I cannot install any more courses and don't know what to do. This is what I do, step by frustrating step.
I create the MyZip file for the course. I open TWCaddy and click on file. I open the location where the file is kept. I double click on the file and TWCaddy takes over. There are always 1 or 2 libraries already installed and I'm informed to uninstall them and reinstall the new libraries. I have tried that to no avail. I was told to ignore this prompt and hit OK to continue with the installation.
It says that it was installed so I double click on the course and all files are True.
I fire up TW08 and go to the custom game to access the courses. The logo is there but when I click on the course it says "file not found" and I need to uninstall library items again and reinstall them.
I know this is long, but I wnat you to know exactly what steps I have taken.
I have Vista Home Premium and 2G memory. Plenty of HD space and Pentium dual core processor.
Please help?

Hi...
The course should work when you dubble click on the coursename and all library files are TRUE
But with Vista you have to run the program as Administrator.
In Vista you can also try to turn off UAC (; user account control).
Some more help below about running as administrator:
The program needs to have permission from the first time you install it. UAC Creates registery entries for each individual user and denies access to the keys Tiger Woods 08 uses to read courses from.
Simply put here is how to fix every single issue that Vista users have encountered. MAKE SURE THE PROGRAM HAS ADMINISTRATION PRIVILEGES.
So how do you do that you ask?
Browse to the folder you installed TW Caddie 08 usally:
C://Program Files/CourseDownloads.com/TW Caddie 08
Locate the following file:
TW Caddie 08.exe
(;VISTA 64 BETA)
TW Caddie 08 Vista 64.exe
Right Click on that file and select Properties.
With properties Open select the tab labeled Compatibility
In the Compatibility screen you will see a option near the bottom that says:
Run This Program as Administrator
Check the box and click Apply and then OK. As the manual says you the program MUST BE RAN AS AN ADMINISTER. IN XP just being logged in as an Admin is enough. Vista on the other hand you have to tell it to run as an Administer.
This has fixed 99.9% of all reported problems with TW Caddie and Vista.
Note: When you run as administrator, it is possible you have to reinstall the custom courses + libraries you already had before ) |

I assumed, how silly, that because I was the administrator of this computer that I was doing things correctly. Silly me! I did what you said and, behold, I'm in business. Thanks for the info. I take back everything I said under my breath!
Oh, and thanks for making all of theses courses available. I even found some home courses in Michigan.
