Hi, firstly....Im Simon from england......
I have just tried putting some courses via TW Caddie on.
I managed to get one onto the game.....is it possible to get more than one course via TW Caddie onto the game at any one time?
As After I tried to get more courses on...it kind of rejected me and told me half of what I was trying to install was already on there!
Also....im having issues with getting Augusta on there. Ive gone to download the game....done that........but when it appears in my installed courses on TW caddie...... it wont allow me to compress and says.
INVALID FILE NAME FOR COURSE INI FILE COURSE INI FILES MUST BE NAMED(COURSE NAME).INI IN ORDER TO WORK PLEASE LOCATE COURSE NAME HERE.INI
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

as far as it telling you course files already in there this is one of the benefits of using the caddie so u dont have to reload files you already got when on d/l page simply uncheck the libraries you already got saves you time plus frees up bandwidth u will find that the more courses you get the less files you will need for each one as most use the same libraries |

Hi... Yes you have to install the libraries once. So when you download a course that is using the same libraries as a course you installed before, you don t have to reinstall the libraries. Sometimes TWCaddie will tell you the libraries are already installed....ignore that message and go on with the installation of the course.
About the Compress tool in TWCaddie: You don t have to use that tool, it is a tool used by course designers. |

There are several ways to install courses, below is one way to install courses:
When you downloaded ....and installed TWCaddie08.... you will find icon/shortcut on your desktop. Now you will have to create a new folder on your desktop ( or other location) and give the new folder a name: ( for example: TW08 custom courses ) (In this new folder you will have to download the course + all required libraries.) Now go to startpage of Coursedownloads site.....and on left side on top you will see section: Coursedownloads.....Tiger woods 2008 Inside you will find all custom courses,.......when you found a course you want to install: on top of page of the course you want to download click: Download Course now on next popup page you will see on left side download link for the course: Coursedownloads.net click on link (Coursedownloads.net) and download the coursefile to the new folder you created on your desktop. Now on right side you will see a list of all required libraries..........click on each libraryname (text)....and download all libraries to the new folder you created on your desktop. When you downloaded coursefile + all required libraries to the new folder, it is time to install course + all libraries in TW08 with automatic installer TWCaddie08: on desktop dubble click icon/shortcut: TWCaddie08 Now a popup screen will appear, and on top right side click: Install Now on next popup screen you will have to browse/find to the new folder you created on your desktop When you found the new folder in popup screen you will see the downloaded course+ libraries zip files. Now first dubble click on all libries zip files... and TWCaddie08 will install all libraries automatic in TW08 At last dubble click the course file...and TWCaddie08 will install course automatic in TW08. Some Notes: The course zip file is the one with the highest number )....It is important to install all libraries first....and at last the course zip file. (The reason is: When you first install course file you will receive message of missing libraries ) (When you receive message of missing library: download missing library and install also in TW08 with TWCaddie08) Important:you only have to download and install library once..........when you download and install other courses that are using the same library, you dont have to install that library again. But no worries, when you already have the library installed, TWCaddie08 will tell you that you already have the library. |

Hi... Are you using internet explorer 7 ? Try this to have the run or save option: Start internet explorer and go to:
Internet Options > Security > Custom Level > Scroll down till you find Automatic prompting for File Downloads and set it to Enable OK out of it and accept the Are you really sure you want to do this stuff
You should use installer: TW Caddie08 x64
The program needs to have permission from the first time you install it. UAC Creates registery entries for each individual user and denies access to the keys Tiger Woods 08 uses to read courses from.
Simply put here is how to fix every single issue that Vista users have encountered. MAKE SURE THE PROGRAM HAS ADMINISTRATION PRIVILEGES.
So how do you do that you ask?
Browse to the folder you installed TW Caddie 08 usally: C://Program Files/CourseDownloads.com/TW Caddie 08
Locate the following file: TW Caddie 08.exe
(;VISTA 64 BETA) TW Caddie 08 Vista 64.exe
Right Click on that file and select Properties.
With properties Open select the tab labeled Compatibility
In the Compatibility screen you will see a option near the bottom that says: Run This Program as Administrator
Check the box and click Apply and then OK. As the manual says you the program MUST BE RAN AS AN ADMINISTER. IN XP just being logged in as an Admin is enough. Vista on the other hand you have to tell it to run as an Administer.
This has fixed 99.9% of all reported problems with TW Caddie and Vista. |

but if you save them, then you won't have to download them again if you reinstall or have something happen
libraries are used for many courses, just as easy to save them locally for next time you need tem
