This seems similar to my problem,
I installed the Caddy 08 on a Vista 64bit for a friend several months ago and everything went fine. Downloaded and installed several custom courses (;via a USB chip transfer from my computer). They all played allright and had no problems listingthem in he Caddy windows for the courses and the libraries. My friend left town and took his computer with him, where he played the courses with a cousin in L.A., but when he got back and I tried to install directly from Coursedownloads.com (;I got him to register) the Caddy program does not display any courses or libraries at all. The list panes are populated, because the scroll bar shows a list exists, but the window is blank. I selected one of the blank lines and called up the properties windows and all libraries are red or exclamation marked with no information about the course or libraries. Not even the original courses (;Westchester, Dubsdread, and others) show up in the list panes. I reinstalled the Caddy and get the same response. When I ran the analysis program all I get is errors and beeps. My friend is computer illiterate and does not touch anything in fear of screwing the thing up, so I ruled out changed file locations or drive assignments. short of reinstalling TW08 , Caddy and all of the courses what can be done? Would a virus cause this? My friend did install a toolbar set called Inbox that virtually took over his IE7, but even after I uninstalled and deactivated all instances of it from the addins manager for IE there was no change in the Caddy program. Does Caddy08 lose track of the added files on occasion? How do I set the default file location for the libraries so Caddy will see it. |
