You are going to have problems.....the program needs to have permission from the first time you install it. UAC Creates registery entries for each individual user and denies access to the keys Tiger Woods 08 uses to read courses from.
Simply put here is how to fix every single issue that Vista users have encountered. MAKE SURE THE PROGRAM HAS ADMINISTRATION PRIVILEGES.
So how do you do that you ask?
Browse to the folder you installed TW Caddie 08 usally: C://Program Files/CourseDownloads.com/TW Caddie 08
Locate the following file: TW Caddie 08.exe
(VISTA 64 BETA) TW Caddie 08 Vista 64.exe
Right Click on that file and select Properties.
With properties Open select the tab labeled "Compatibility"
In the Compatibility screen you will see a option near the bottom that says: Run This Program as Administrator
Check the box and click Apply and then OK. As the manual says you the program MUST BE RAN AS AN ADMINISTER. IN XP just being logged in as an Admin is enough. Vista on the other hand you have to tell it to run as an Administer.
This has fixed 99.9% of all reported problems with TW Caddie and Vista. |

Long story short Unistall TW08 and TW Caddie and make sure to give Admin Rights to Caddie and TW08. |

OK, I was able to"run as administrator" in TW Caddie 08. I have Microsoft.Net Framework 3.5 SP1. I tried double-clicking on my desktop the TW Caddie 08 icon. I'm still getting the message "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 is not installed on this computer correctly. The program will now close." When I hit "OK" I get the following message "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click quit, the application will close immedialely." I hit "Continue" and the Tiger Woods Caddie 08 screen pops up but there are no courses listed. I had just downloaded Congressional, for instance, and it is nowhere to be found... |

That's pretty much what happens to me in Windows 7. Works great for me in Vista though. |

If you are getting that error it is because Caddie does not have permission to read your registry and/or TW 08 is not installed correctly, which means, the program is looking for a registry key that it either does not have permission to read or does not exist. |

"I get an unhandled exception in the application messafe from .Net Framework. Permissions have been granted. The message is below." |
I've been using TW Caddie on Windows 7 for close to a year and didn't have any problems until a few days ago. I was in the process of installing a course and my computer decided to reset on it's own. I've been getting the above unhandled exception message ever since when trying to start up the TW Caddie.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling TW Caddie and TW08 but it didn't solve the problem. Both have permissions on under privileges. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi Yesrush...
You sure you did all steps on link below:
http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/posts.asp?post=8478&forum=32
When still not working: Try to do a virus scan on your system
When still not working: Maybe you can try to reinstall net framework Some help on link below:

Thanks for your reply.
I did follow all the steps from that link. Tried a virus/malware/spyware scan in addition to reinstalling net framework over the weekend to no avail. Maybe there's still a nasty virus hiding itself from the scanners I've used thus far.
Hopefully I'll get this resolved soon. I'd rather use TW Caddie for my 200+ course reinstall exercise. :P |
