I have been struggling for two months to get this to work..admittally because I am so computer illiterate. haha
Everyting I try to open the TWCaddie it says the game was not installed correctly and there are no courses installed.
I have read the tutorial and tried everything. I know this is totally "user error", but does anyone know the solution to this?
The caddie downloads ok, and I play the game just fine online, etc. I just did the standard install and I am in administrator mode.
Any help?!
Thank you!

THANK YOU! Any help you can provide would be so appreciated. I am sure it is "user error" on my part so I apologize. But I have been trying everything.
i am running Windows Vista Home Premium Pack 1. I have an intel dual core 2.5ghz. 4 GB ram. 8800 GT vid card.
Let me know if there is any other info that might be helpful. It just keeps saying Tiger Woods wasnt installed correctly....
Thanks again for any help you can provide!

The installer can not read the registery in Vista unless you give it permission YAC is the usual culprit behind this. Please make sure that your username has permission to READ the registery before installing. |

Hi everyone,
I recently just got back into this game and am having the problem above. Could someone elaborate as to how to resolve? I am running a new PC with Windows 8.
I've reset all permissions (I believe) so that read/write capabilities are enabled for the user to the folders with no luck. Would love to get back to playing this game if possible!
Thanks,

You can try to do the steps below when you are using Win8: On desktop you should have TW08 program icon. On desktop Right-click the programs icon and choose Properties. When the Properties dialog box appears, click the Compatibility tab and then click the Run Compatibility Troubleshooter button. Now in the list try to run in Win7 mode.....or you can try to run in XP mode.
When you are using TWCaddie08 to install courses: On desktop right click the TWCaddie08 icon.....choose: Properties....compatibility...and on bottom check box: Run as administrator...and click: Apply
You also might have to run TWCaddie08 in compatibility mode: On desktop Right-click the TWCaddie08 programs icon and choose Properties. When the Properties dialog box appears, click the Compatibility tab and then click the Run Compatibility Troubleshooter button. Now in the list try to run in Win7 mode.....or you can try to run in XP mode.
Also be sure to use the correct version of TWCaddie08 (; 32bit or 64bit )
How can you find out you have a 32 bit or 64 bit system: 1.Touch or click on System and Security within Control Panel. Note: You wont see a System and Security link in Control Panel if your view is set to either Large icons or Small icons. If so, find System and touch or click on it, then skip to Step 3.
2.With the System and Security window now open, click or touch System.
3.With the System applet now open, titled View basic information about your computer, find the System area, located under the large Windows 8 logo.
The System type will say either 64-bit Operating System or 32-bit Operating System.
When you found out go to TWCaddie08 download page on link below: http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/category.asp?id=1&gameid=11
On that page you will see 2 download links: when you have win8 32bit.... download this one: TW Caddie 08 v1.5 when you have win8 64bit... download this one: TW Caddie 08 x64 Beta |
