I dont know what happened here, first time trying to install a course
and somehow, my game will not load at all, locks up my PC and I have to reboot
cannot even get the TW08 to boot up, please do not tell me I have to unistall
the whole game, I will loose everything, something must have gotten coropted,
I installed the caddie 08 and then augusta 08 the course shows up it the caddie
library then I put the disc in, it came up once but the course was not there
as a choice, I tried to play a challange like normal and the game locked,
I uninstalled augusta using the caddie, I tried for a couple hours
like I said my game will not work at all, locks up my PC

Hi Kappy....
Are you using xp.....maybe you can try to make a windows xp restore point. you can restore your PC to a point before you had the problems.

Hi
I really think I am missing files in the game, I do not believe this has anything to do with XP, I have tried unistalling the caddie and the agusta course
and then back again I have no idea where I was when this occured
IF I uninstall the game itself will I loose all my progress in the game,
that would suck for sure thanks |

When you can t solve the problem and you want to reinstall TW08 game, there is option to save your career:
So you will not lose your progress
Before you uninstall game:
On desktop go to folder: My documents
inside you will find folder: Tiger woods PGA tour 08
Right click folder (Tiger woods PGA tour 08)and choose: Copy
Now go back to desktop and right click on desktop and choose: Paste.
Now you created back up to save your career.
Now uninstall TW08 game....and reinstall TW08 game.
When you reinstalled TW08.....play 1 hole on any course...and go back to desktop.
On desktop go back to the saved folder (Tiger woods PGA tour 08)..and copy the folder and replace it in folder: My documents
When you are asked to overwrite.....say yes. |

well I unistalled then reinstalled, cannot get the game to boot up,
and my PC locks up, any suggestions on what to do next, game was ok until i tried
messing around with this coursedownload stuff, kinda ticking me off
wasting the whole day, cant even play a game thanks for your input

Hi Kappy.....try to do the XP restore point ( see post above ).
Follow the instructions.....and look for restore point.( for example restore to last week )
When you did the restore point ( example: last week ).....you will also restore your TW08 game to last week. So when it was working last week.....it should work after restore.
Also good idea to do a virusscan...... |

I did the restore back to yesterday actually, and i still do not know why
the winzip file for the caddie08 was still on the desk top
I did not put that there until this morning, everything else works
but TW08 bud so I have done everything you have suggested
with no luck |

I ended up once again with the uninstall
what I did was get rid of everything in explore, that had to do with ea sports
and TW games, I kept the folder from my documents and replaced the new one with it
but with no luck,I still lost everything, one thing that is wierd,
I tried to create my new profile, but it said user already excist.
dont know where, I can see my name and saved things, stil they are not in the game
now I start from scratch, something had to get corupted downloading from this site
wont do that again, my game was fine, thanks for the help Gunpower Kappy |

When you start TW game.....on main page you will see: Change profile...
Inside you will find players list....you should find your custom player in list. |

Interesting....
It could have been the installer. not saying that it wasnt, but Im surprised since NO ONE has had this problem before. Hard for me to tell you to try installing a different course so that I can try and help find what happened. Accept my appolgy and please think of trying ot install some other course then Augusta. |

I got my game back on track, I did not have my whole profile back
but my tiger challenge was back where I left off, I had zero attributes,
I had to do something wrong with a file within the game,
I will need to read threw the download instructions again,
even when I installed 07 games form here, they kinda of ran jerky and slow
I have a pentium 4, 1gb mem dual core processor,a decent
vid card, I am almost ready for a new system, if you have any suggestions
I am open, gunpower had helped me alot,very knowledgeable guy, you never know I may send a donation
your way, not blaming the site at all, I just screw things up, I like the site, for a 50 year old guy. games are still fun.

| Have you tried turning down the settings when you play custom courses. I can play stock courses full throttle but customs I have to turn some things down. |
