Ive just installed TW Caddie 08, and tried to install Augusta 08 v2. Despite apparently installing all 7 associated libraries, the course doesnt show up in the course list.
Ive tried to install the libraries in the course section, and the library section, both zipped and unzipped. The result is the same.
I also analyzed installed files without a problem being identified. I have also refreshed the list and checked all the Properties according to your recommendations in the Help file.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thx. |

When you open TW Caddie 08.....on left side in: Installed courses......dubble click: Augusta 2008
Now you should see the logo pic of Augusta 2008
and below you can see info about course file locations:
when one of the files ( logo...text....splash...etc...)is not installed automatic you will see a red sign.
When you see red sign...browse for the required file and you will be able to install it manually. |

| Perhaps I wasnt clear. Augusta 2008 v2 does not show up in the course libraries,despite repeated attempts of loading all of the libraries. Therefore, its not possible to open it where you suggest. |

You can only install the library: Augusta 2008 ver2..........when you don t have the library:
Augusta 2008 installed.
You can read below in architect comments:
Architect Comments: Augusta 2008 Ver 2 library fixes the drop problem when hitting into the water and makes very dry conditions more forgiving on the greens. The GUID is the same as the original Augusta 2008 library so you need to remove that library and replace it with Augusta 2008 Ver 2
So open TW Caddie 08......look in libraries list for library: Augusta 2008
Uninstall the library........and when you did install library: Augusta 2008 Ver2
You can download the library when you go to augusta course download page:
on right side you will see all required libraries, click on library text: Augusta 2008 Ver 2......and you will be able to download the library.....and install in TW game with TW Caddie08.

Hi Gunpower61,
I am not trying to load Augusta 2008 ver 2 after loading Augusta 2008. I am only trying to load Augusta 2008 ver 2. But, it doesnt ever show up in the course files after loading all the libraries. |

Yes correct.....now i understand....i have same problem:
When you dubble click course Augusta.....you will see library: Augusta 2008 ( and not Augusta 2008 ver2 ).
But it definatly is library: Augusta 2008 ver2
To check you can do next steps:
Open TW Caddie.....and in libraries list you should find library: Augusta 2008 ver2
Dubble click the library....and you will see all courses where library is used. |

| I do not have any problem related to Augusta 2008. I have version 2. But, loading the other 6 libraries and the file Augusta 2008 ver 2 does not result in being able to select the course in the game. My original list of 14 courses that comes standard in the TW 08 game, is unchanged. |

You tried to install other custom course with TW Caddie 08 ?
When other installed courses are not showing up in courses list.......maybe good idea to read post below, other member is having same problem:

This is the first course I wanted to add. I have not tried to add others. The paths seem correct, according to the ones listed in the help files for both libraries and courses.
I did notice that all the 7 files I downloaded at first were .tcl files. I dont know if its a relevant observation to wonder if there should be other types, such as tcr. for courses??? |

Yes...i believe you forgot to download the course file ( .tcr )
When you go to course download page of Augusta:
On right side you will see all listed libraries ( you already downloaded )
And on left side you will have to download the course file ( .tcr )
On left side you will see: select location......and below it you will see download link for course file: Coursedownloads.net
Click on coursedownloads.net ( text ) and you will be able to download the course file.
after download you can install in game with TW Caddie 08. |

Yes, that was part of the solution. I didnt suspect that there was a main course file hidden beyond the coursedownloads.net link!
After accomplishing that, and installing the course(in the course section of TW Caddie 08) I can verify that, Augusta 2008 shows up. However, it didnt show up in the actual game.
I uninstalled and re-installed, as other have done, but, it didnt help.
It wasnt until I checked the file paths under Course Properties and noted that there was an _0 at the end of Augusta2008 before \Augusta 2008 in all the course file locations: (.tcr, flag.dds, logo.dds, splash.tga and course.txt) I ammended them by deleting the _0 and it finally works.
Thanks so very much Gunpower61,for the time and effort in helping a newbie. I really appreciate it and hope the struggle helps others with similar problems find a solution.
Off to the first tee... |
