Caddie Very Slow When Installing Courses

Over the last few months, Caddie has been bogging down & taking as long as 5 minutes to install a course. I never had this problem before.

I am running Win 10. All drivers and .Net Framework are up to date.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Caddie 3 times in the last couple of months and still the same thing. It is running with administrator rights in compatibility mode for Win Vista SP 2. I tried Win 7 compatibility and nothing changes.

Hello Mike, 5 mins installation time for a course is extremely long, and it looks you tried about everything already.
Do you save the downloaded course zipfile ( or myzipfile ) to your pc first, before you install the course ?

All the courses I have are downloaded to a folder on my hard drive. Once I download and install the course I keep the original downloaded file.

Hello Mike,

Just in case you can t get TWCaddie08 to work.
I attached a zipfile with another automatic installer CLsetup08 ( modified CLsetup07...... so it works in TW08 )

Important: First you have to unzip or extract the downloaded zipfile. When you try to run CLsetup08 from inside the zipfile it will not work.
So first put the zipfile in a new folder you created. After that open the zipfile and inside you will see three files, now drag the three files from the zipfile in the new folder.
( or right click the zipfile and choose: extract or unzip here ).

When you did it you will see in the new folder:
Clsetup.bmp
CLsetup.exe
CLsetup.htm

You can start CLsetup08 when you dubble click: CLsetup.exe

When you are using Win7 or Win8 or Vista or Win10 or Win11, you have to run it as administrator:

So right click CLsetup.exe ( icon ).....choose: properties.......compatibility.......and check box: Run as administrator

Choose: Apply.......OK
