Hi I have installed TW08 on my Windows 8.1 computer and it opens and runs great. And I also installed the TW Caddy 08-vista program to enable me to install courses and libraries into my TWO8 game, I opened up that program and it shows all the courses and Libraries I have installed from the TW08 game already. Now I want to install other course and libraries available from this site. I downloaded the Augusta National course to my PC as well as the to enable me to play Augusta. The problem is I don't understand how to install these courses and files using the TW 08 Caddy program? I tried double clicking on the files one by one by one, but it did not install at all? Would someone explain step by step just what you do? My game is installed under C:\Program files(86)/EA Sports and not under C:\Program Files. Please help me. Thank you Ron |

Hello Ron,
When your game is installed in program files(x86) , then it means you have a 64 bit system. There are 2 versions of TWCaddie08, when you have a 64 bit sytem then you need this version of TWCaddie08: TW Caddie 08 x64 Beta Also be sure to run TWCaddie08 as administrator.
Below is the full help with instructions
Some help for TWCaddie08, first you have to know you have a 32bit or 64bit system on Win8. Most people have a 64bit system. How can you find out you have a 32 bit or 64 bit system: First of all you have to go to your control panel in Win8: On your desktop on bottom left corner click the Start icon. This will bring you to the start screen. Now on your keyboard just type the text: Control panel Now on top right side side just below the typing box you will see the results it found for: Control panel. Now click the result on top and you will go in the control panel.
1.Touch or click on System and Security within Control Panel. Note: You wont see a System and Security link in Control Panel if your view is set to either Large icons or Small icons. If so, find System and touch or click on it, then skip to Step 3. 2.With the System and Security window now open, click or touch System. 3.With the System applet now open, titled View basic information about your computer, find the System area, located under the large Windows 8 logo. The System type will say either 64-bit Operating System or 32-bit Operating System.
When you found out go to TWCaddie08 download page on link below: http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/category.asp?id=1&gameid=11 On that page you will see 2 download links: when you have win8 32bit.... download this one: TW Caddie 08 v1.5 when you have win8 64bit... download this one: TW Caddie 08 x64 Beta
When you are using TWCaddie08 to install courses: On desktop right click the TWCaddie08 icon.....choose: Properties....compatibility...and check box: Run as administrator...and click: Apply Option: When you don t have the icon on your desktop, you can also go to: C:\Program Files\CourseDownloads.com\TW Caddie 08 - Vista 64 ( On your desktop on bottom in taskbar you should have an icon: Explorer. ) ( Dubble click explorer icon and go to: C:\Program Files\CourseDownloads.com\TW Caddie 08 - Vista 64 ) And you can do the administrator thing on the TWCaddie08 icon you will find there. To put an icon on your desktop: go to: C:\Program Files\CourseDownloads.com\TW Caddie 08 - Vista 64 Now inside the folder (TW Caddie 08 - Vista 64) you will find the icon to start TWCaddie08 Go to the blue TWCaddie08 icon and right click it, and in list choose: Copy to....and in next list choose: Desktop (create shortcut) After that you will find the TWCaddie08 icon on your desktop. On desktop right click the TWCaddie08 icon.....choose: Properties....compatibility...and check box: Run as administrator...and click: Apply How to install Courses: 1.The easiest way it to use the create myzip feature: When you found a course to download: Just click on Create myzip.... and it will start to create your zipfile After that choose open.....and TWCaddie08 will install all required libraries and courses in TW08 game. Another option is to save the myzip file on your pc. After that dubble click the saved myzip file on you PC, and TWCaddie08 will install all required libraries and courses in TW08 game. 2. Another way is to download the course and all required libraries separate: Go to the course that you want to download.....on right side you will see a list of required libraries. The libraries with a red X are libraries you didn t download before. Click one a library (librarytext) with a red X, and download it to a location on your PC, for example download it to a folder on your desktop. Do the same for allother libraries that are marked with red X. After that on your desktop open TWCaddie08....and choose: Install On next popup screen you will have to browse to the downloaded libraries zipfiles. When you found one dubble click it and TWCaddie08 will install it in TW08. Do this with all libraries you downloaded separate. After that on the coursedownloads page, left side you will see the course download link: Coursedownloads.net Dubble click it, and download the coursefile to your pc, and also install it with TWCAddie08, same way as you installed the libraries. |

Gunpower Your directions won't work on my Windows 8.1 PC. The TW08 game installed perfectly and started and runs great. But the TW08 Caddy08 64 bit vista program won't install courses or libraries at all. I get pop up messages like you are DENIED access or the Caddy08 program won't run on this PC? I opened your Caddy 08 program on my desktop and it does show all the courses and libraries that are already installed from the TW08 game.
But I am unable to install any NEW courses or libraries. That's the problem. I have a 64 bit Windows 8.1 PC and it is a brand new Cybertron PC with a Nvidia 750 Ti card. Its just an awesome PC and graphics card. So the problem is not with the PC. I suspect the Caddy08 vista 64 bit program is set up to install files to C:\Program Files\EA Sports\TW08. It should install them to C:\Program Files(86)\EA Sports\TW08
In other words Caddy08 is searching for a program that doesn't exist on Windows explorer. Back in 2008 when you designed the TW Caddy program it did exist because Windows programs had just C:\Program File ad a game directory. If you come up with an easier solution please let me know. Thank you Ron |

Hello Ron,
TWCaddie08 should work perfect on win8.1, not sure why it is not working on your system. There are 2 versions of TWCaddie08 ( 32 bit and 64 bit version ), be sure to install the correct version of TWCaddie08 In post above it is explained how you can check you have win8.1(32bit) or win8.1(64bit ), and what version of TWCaddie08 you should download.
Once you have downloaded and installed the right version of TWCaddie08 and you have the TWCaddie08 icon on desktop: On desktop right click TWCaddie08 icon....choose properties...compatibility...and on bottom check box: Run as Administrator..and hit: Apply
