Hello are you running TWCaddie08 as administrator ?
On desktop right click the TWCaddie08 icon.....choose: Properties....compatibility...and check box: Run as administrator...and click: Apply
When you don t have TWCaddie08 icon on desktop, just read help below and you will find there how to do it.

Below is some help for Win8, but about same for Win10 systems.

Some help for TWCaddie08, first you have to know you have a 32bit or 64bit system on Win8.
Most people have a 64bit system.
How can you find out you have a 32 bit or 64 bit system:
First of all you have to go to your control panel in Win8:
On your desktop on bottom left corner click the Start icon.
This will bring you to the start screen.
Now on your keyboard just type the text: Control panel
Now on top right side side just below the typing box you will see the results it found for: Control panel.
Now click the result on top and you will go in the control panel.
1.Touch or click on System and Security within Control Panel.
Note: You wont see a System and Security link in Control Panel if your view is set to either Large icons or Small icons. If so, find System and touch or click on it, then skip to Step 3.
2.With the System and Security window now open, click or touch System.
3.With the System applet now open, titled View basic information about your computer, find the System area, located under the large Windows 8 logo.
The System type will say either 64-bit Operating System or 32-bit Operating System.
When you found out go to TWCaddie08 download page on link below:
http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/category.asp?id=1&gameid=11
On that page you will see 2 download links:
when you have win8 32bit.... download this one:
TW Caddie 08 v1.5
when you have win8 64bit... download this one:
TW Caddie 08 x64 Beta
When you are using TWCaddie08 to install courses:
On desktop right click the TWCaddie08 icon.....choose: Properties....compatibility...and check box: Run as administrator...and click: Apply
Option: When you don t have the icon on your desktop, you can also go to: C:\Program Files\CourseDownloads.com\TW Caddie 08 - Vista 64
( On your desktop on bottom in taskbar you should have an icon: Explorer. )
( Dubble click explorer icon and go to: C:\Program Files\CourseDownloads.com\TW Caddie 08 - Vista 64 )
And you can do the administrator thing on the TWCaddie08 icon you will find there.

To put an icon on your desktop: go to: C:\Program Files\CourseDownloads.com\TW Caddie 08 - Vista 64
Now inside the folder (TW Caddie 08 - Vista 64) you will find the icon to start TWCaddie08
Go to the blue TWCaddie08 icon and right click it, and in list choose: Copy to....and in next list choose: Desktop (create shortcut)
After that you will find the TWCaddie08 icon on your desktop.
On desktop right click the TWCaddie08 icon.....choose: Properties....compatibility...and check box: Run as administrator...and click: Apply

How to install Courses:
1.The easiest way it to use the create myzip feature:
When you found a course to download: Just click on Create myzip.... and it will start to create your zipfile
After that choose open.....and TWCaddie08 will install all required libraries and courses in TW08 game.
Another option is to save the myzip file on your pc.
After that dubble click the saved myzip file on you PC, and TWCaddie08 will install all required libraries and courses in TW08 game.

2. Another way is to download the course and all required libraries separate:
Go to the course that you want to download.....on right side you will see a list of required libraries.
The libraries with a red X are libraries you didn t download before. Click one a library (librarytext) with a red X, and download it to a location on your PC, for example download it to a folder on your desktop. Do the same for allother libraries that are marked with red X.
After that on your desktop open TWCaddie08....and choose: Install
On next popup screen you will have to browse to the downloaded libraries zipfiles. When you found one dubble click it and TWCaddie08 will install it in
TW08. Do this with all libraries you downloaded separate.
After that on the coursedownloads page, left side you will see the course download link: Coursedownloads.net
Dubble click it, and download the coursefile to your pc, and also install it with TWCAddie08, same way as you installed the libraries.

Thanks Gunpowder I have a 64 bit system, and yes I have run the installer for the last 5 years on my other computers. I am running as Admin and also on Compatability for Windows 8. Still getting the error message can not install courses. Did you see the attached file of the error message? Not sure why it is asking for a temp folder or why it has Coursedownloads.com in the Path line. Guess I will keep pounding away on it till I get it. Thanks for any additional info you can send.

When you installed TW Caddie08 on your PC, in program files you will see a folder: Coursedownloads.com
That is the reason Coursedownloads.com is in the path. Not sure, but i think it puts it in a temporary folder, because you didn t save the downloaded course on your PC first.
So i suggest you save the downloaded file on your PC first, for example in a folder on your desktop. Not sure you are using the create myzip feature.
when you use the create myzip feature, first save the create myzip file on your pc, after that dubble click the saved create myzip file, and TWCaddie08 will install it in TW08.
In my first post i described a few ways how to install courses, maybe you have more luck when you save the downloaded files on your pc first.
