Just d/l cypress point 05 and installed using jorgens tool for tw06. Course loads ok but the rough surrounding the 1st (and a few other) fairways is missing. Is there a library Im missing that Jorgens tool also didnt detect, or is it a more generic problem that theres a fix for?

In answer to my own question, maybe the course is under-optimized for tw06s liking?

If there were a lib missing, the game (course) would not load at all. Most likely, it is as you said the course has too many points, or too many terrain objects with high point counts. TW06 is very sensitive about point count.

I know where you are coming from, Andy. I would love to see a lot more real courses released, especially ones used on the tours. The problem is a lot goes into developing a real course, especially when someone can look online or go back to past tournaments and see videos of the actual course. People tend to be very critical of real renditions and from what I have seen the criticisms have driven a lot of archs either away from designing real courses, away from designing anything at all or from the game altogether. It is a sad statement that we cant realize that this is a game and encourage people who take their free time to design courses for us to play. Instead they get driven into the ground because an elevation isnt exactly what we think it should be or a pin is two feet over from where we think it should be or a tree isnt in the exact right place. |
