I got hooked on TWG after buying a 2004 last year actually. Really hooked on designing. I realized that there arent many people who still design with 2004 architect, so I got 2006. I have found that on my PC, the courses lack visual detail, textures all seem incredibly bright (too bright). I gotta figure I am not doing something right. Do I need a different graphics card for 2006 (that may not be as needed on 2004)? Is is something simple with the graphics setup? - I have tried to adjust the setup as much as possible and doesnt seem to help.

Standard on-board graphics for IBM ThinkCentre PC. Is there a suitable aftermarket graphics cards that seems to work best with 2006. Hershel, I think the more suitable comment would be opinions are like armpits. everyone has 2 of them and they both stink. Obviously, based on your differing comments, the graphics cards DOES make a difference, that is why I am asking - not to be insulted, but to learn

Thanks everyone, especially Hershel. Looks like a trip to Best Buy is in my near future. I got what I think is a really cool course layout but I am hesitant to upload it until I can see what it should look like with the same graphics that everyone else will use. My onboard looks all washed out - all textures too bright, and all trees too dark.

Tigerplank AND Herschel Dirtwater, dont take your comments toward each
other into another thread. You have already been warned in
another post. Take it somewhere else!

Man, what a difference. Just put in a 256MB gfx card and I feel like I have a brand new version of TWG. Thanks for the advice Hershel, now I see how much more smoothing/adjusting, etc I need to do. A couple weird things - like my stock trees are multicolored (rainbow colors actually, quite psychadelic - sp?), but I am sure I can dig around and figure out why
