300,000 points or more is probably too many. Most courses have point counts around 200-250K. You need to optimize a lot more if you have over 350k with only 14 holes.

How can I optimize more than I already am?
Ive clicked on every thing Ive added (fairways, bunkers, rough, ponds, tee boxes...etc) and have optimized them down to 0%. Beyond that, what can I do to optimize even more? Is there a trick or method?
Thanks
Bundy

Use the point count indicator to find the shapes on your plot that have points in excess of 2000-2500. Move the slider over when optimizing to get the point count down. You might want to save and create a new version before optimizing, because you cant undo it. You can sometimes over-optimize, which is a bad thing. Dont optimize the greens too much because then you lose the detail. Also do NOT optimize with children. Good luck. |

Thanks for all the help. Ive managed to get my points down to just over 140000 and everything seems good except for the trees issue I posted about elsewhere.
Ive also noticed that since adding the Course perimeter, the overhead display on the right side of my monitor (turned off/on with the o key) doesnt really match up with what is happening in the game. For example when I tee off, the ball on the OH display actually leaves the display on a dog leg when in actual fact Im in the middle of the fairway.
This is a new one to me but perhaps unless someone happens to read this and can help, I might have to make a seperate post on this topic.
Thanks once again to everyone who has provided help and advice.

what Tiger Woods version are you using.....
You may need to delete overheads that were created before you perhaps moved a hole.......
Usually clearing this folder will solve the problem......
from your desktop, double click your My Documents icon, Double click your Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 folder, Double click Courses delete all the files in there
NOTE THIS IS FOR TW 06 AND THE FILES YOU SHOULD BE DELETING ARE .sta FILES |
