Im a real novice at anything to do with computers, and after trying to figure out how to download a course using course utilities, the jorgens installer, and just trying to understand the directions was finally able to use the Clsetup to get a couple installed. Im still not sure I did it right. I dled them to my desktop, called up the clsetup, and installed them from there. it seems you have to install the libs first, and I didnt unzip them before installing. I am getting a little lag when playing, and they seem to take longer than usual loading the next hole, but overall it is playable. My biggest gripe is the putting grid is very hard to see, so its very hard to judge your putt. Id appreciate any help anyone could give a computer iliterate dummy like me. :-)

Using CLSetup, you are better installing the course first as that will
generate a list of any missing or not yet installed libraries which you
can read to make sure you DO get them installed! If the course works
you did it right. Custom courses are more prone to lag as the designers
often use more objects to get a better end result. Try setting the in
game graphics on manual and lowering a few options. I dont use the
grid myself but find it hard to understand why the grid would be harder
to use on a custom course than the Stock courses...Dave.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the suggestions. I will try installing the game first and see if that makes any difference. I do have my options set on manual with everything shut off, or on low settings, with best performance set. Someone told me that there is a brighter putting grid available for download, but I havent been able to find it anywhere if there is one.

I have found the difficulty with custom courses are the colors of the green. If the green is a light green it seems to blend with the grid. In hopes that it is ok to put this here, this link will get you to the grid you are looking for :

Enjoy it while you can, when its not fun anymore quit doing it.
