maybe a patch can solve some of the issues of crashing to the desktop when playing created courses

Ddog,
Saying that all crashes are either missing libs or graphic card related is simply nottrue. There is a well known issue in 06 with certain custom courses from 03/04/05 in 06 that cause ctd. It could be the number of pins on a course that can cause the ctd or a certain lib used causing the crash or even the number of point count on the course causing this. The only known way of getting a crashing course to work would be for the original designer to update the course file in CA06 and get it working that way. |

I have never had acrash in tw03/04/05. only in 06. I have a top of the line computer with 256mb in video and 2 gb of memory for a 3.4mghz pentium computer.The reason I asked the question was that in each of the last 2years a patch came out to help with created courses played in new years

| thanks for your help I will try these settings. its a dhame high end machines cant get the best results were looking for. I still think EA will come out with a parch in the near future |

grass and hole perimeter
are also ones which can cause problems
galleries work fine on low too
basically any setting that adds to the degree of rendering between holes or during play may create stress on your graphics, resulting in slow loading/rendering or in the extreme - crashes
interesting that it is the some of the higher end systems that have difficulty
at best mine is mid range, and has few problems with custom courses |
