Ive looked through the FAQs and all the other topics posted and not found the answer to this.
I cant seem to blend my textures properly.
For instance, I have a lake on my course with a stream that runs to it. But trying to get the stream to connect with the lake seems impossible because they cant cross each others boundaries.
The same thing with my fairway/first cut/green.
Is there some obvious way to get these to blend together that Im completely missing? |

There is no way to blend the textures like the customs at all....you must just try and butt them as clsoe as possible to each other...u can also use bushes and shrubs to disguise joins...

So then at the end of my fairway before I get to the green or first cut, Im forced to have a strip of rough (thats in between the other two textures)?
That seems like a heartily dumb design. |

You can either leave the rough here to prevent easy pitches in to the green on some holes and then draw your fairway around the green on some holes to prevent this.... |

Ok, drawing the fairway around the green is a good idea, but wouldnt I still have that strip of rough in a circle between the green and the circling fairway?
Next question. When I hit the ball on my created course, and the ball lands in the rough...it rolls as if its on first-cut until it stops. But then when I prepare to hit the next shot, it shows as the rough it should be. Any idea what might be causing that? |

How were you able to get the green to mesh to the first cut to mesh to the rough so closely? I dont understand how you could do that with this concentric pattern but not anywhere else. In other words, why doesnt the rough poke through between each texture?
On the rough collision properties...where would I find that?
Thanks for the help, by the way. |

I see...so what youre saying is building from the bottom up. Green on top of fringe which is on top of fairway.
Simple, and yet it eluded me.
Thanks! |

Next question. When I try to compile my first seven holes, Im getting an error message saying I need to optimize certain areas of my course before I can compile.
But it doesnt tell me WHICH areas.
How do I figure this out?
Also, does this mean Im going to have more and more problems with this as I add more holes? |

OPTIMISE EVERY SINGLE SHAPE AS YOU CREATE IT with slider set to 2nd mark....and dont forget your main underlying texture |
