Hello Everyone,
I wish I could spend more time on our forums. With the limited time I do spend on here I find myself scavenging posts for reported bugs that need attention. And yes, there’s always something that needs to be fixed on our site- Job security, I guess.
I do see a lot of new faces mixed in with some familiar faces, and even a few old schoolers that go way back to the Tiger 99 days. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Allen Ballard, aka AJ (my first and middle initials) in the cybergolf realm. Im a libra that likes long walks on the beach (hey it worked for my wife). I’ve been behind the scenes programming and running this site since late 2000, way back when the site was about Cybergolf World Rankings. Boy a lot has changed in 5 years. Since then, we have steadily migrated to Course Hosting which has grown into our primary feature during the past few years. As the site has grown more complex, my role here has been relegated to a reclusive one, only popping out of my cave (think Prairie Dog) when there’s a problem with some code that needs to be fixed, added, or removed.
Thankfully, Jeff Jarvis has been here for several years overseeing the daily operations of the site as well as going out of his way to answer questions on the forum. Without him this site just doesn’t function. He has been an instrumental part of this site since he arrived and I can’t thank him enough for everything he has done….for free!
Kevin (TruBluMich), our other site co-director, tries to fix more things than he breaks. But seriously, he does a good job of both
Finally, we wouldn’t even have a site, let alone our own dedicated server that hosts 40gigs of courses, if it wasn’t for all of your support. Ya know we average well over 2500 unique visitors a day. That’s not too shabby for what is labeled a game fan site! Your constant participation, suggestions, praises and donations have been invaluable in keeping this site going as long as it has. I believe this same community spirit will to take us far into the future. So if you’re reading this, pat yourself your back for playing a big role in our success!
