For those of you who have been anxiously awaiting more information about the upcoming TW2006 game, the beta tester NDA has been lifted and we can now speak about the game.
Just to answer a few quick questions:
1) Yes, there will be a CA again this year. As with last years game it will be available for download from the EA Sports web site rather than being packaged with the game.
2) Custom seasons will be available this year. There will be a custom season creator that you will be able to download from the EA Sports web site after the game is released in order to create your custom seasons.
3) Courses from previous versions of TW are playable in the new game. I tested the stock TW2005 courses in the beta versions I received and they played very well.
TW2006 was a beautiful game to test. I cant exactly put my finger on what made the game look different than 05, but the copies we received seemed to have more depth than previous versions. This may just be my personal opinion, but to me the game looked more dynamic.
In the next couple of days I will be posting screenshots of all of the stock courses that will be available in the upcoming game. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will try to answer them if I can. |

Because you have made all of 2 posts in the forum. Your status in the forum has nothing to do with how long you have played TW. It has everything to do with the number of posts you have made in the forum. How long you have played or been a part of WRS has nothing to do with your status on the forum. The two systems are completely different and length of time on WRS has no bearing on your status in the forum.
Im surprised that you didnt know what the CA is since there has been a CA in every version of TW since 2002.

Great! Just ordered the game, based on Custom seasons & Courses from previous versions.
Do you know if you can include the 125 top PGA pros in the Custom season feature? |

I did play a couple 04 stocks in 06 and they played well. I tried a couple custom courses but ran into some issues with them. Do not jump to conclusions on that since the builds we received were early versions. We received an update today that I havent tried yet. I will install it later tonight and give it a shot with some customs tomorrow and give an update. |

I know in the past you could modify the computer AI players for the custom seasons and I would imagine you can do the same in 06. I cannot answer for positive since it is not something I really looked at during the testing. |

Turtlejm, I will have to look back at my copy to check on the extras. To be honest I do not recall at this time.
Hyno, in my opinion the trees and bushes hold up very well. As I mentioned when playing the 05 courses in 06 it seemed as if the courses had more depth. This may have just been a personal view but there is something about the game that seems (at least to me) to give something extra to the older courses. I think the 05 courses look very good in 06 and will add some new life to the older courses. |

In 06 version, is the game control the same as 05, is there gamepad support or just mouse? Also, has the gameface feature been improved? Finally, are the system requirements the same as 05? Thanks! |

Sorry, but I do not know the answer to this one as of yet. I know there were some issues with playing some of the custom courses in the early builds, but I have not tried any with the latest build that we just got yesterday. I plan on doing that today. I am not sure we will know the answer to that one until the game is released because even the build we got yesterday is not the last build. |

There is gamepad support in 06. I do not have a gamepad so I did not try it, but from those that did they seemed to like it. The gameface feature has had some tweaks and is improved. The system requirements are pretty much the same as 05. I played both 05 and 06 on the same machine and the 06 version actually seemed to play smoother than 05. |

Since I did not test EASO in these builds I cannot tell you. Possibly another tester will come on and will be able to answer this one. |

As a follow-up to your question, I loaded up Northern Hills 2005 this morning in the latest build we received. In the previous versions this course would not play at all. However in this latest version it loaded up and played just as in 05. The load times between holes were longer than on the stock courses, but this may be due to the complexity of this particular course or due to the fact that it is still a beta build that we have. I cannot give a 100% guarantee that a patch wont be needed, but I can say that it looks like customs will play in 06. I plan on loading up some older customs today to test things out further. |

Swing types are the same as in 05, 3-click and TruSwing. Gamepad support has been added to the game this year. |

The 04 version of Augusta should work in 06 since custom courses from previous verisons can be used. I cannot 100% guarantee it since I did not test this particular course. I did test a couple of courses, one 05 and one 02 course. Both played in the latest version that the testers have.
I do not recall any changes as far as automatic saving is concerned.
I am also not aware of a voice feature in GameFace. I would be curious to see what article you read that stated this. I may be possible that a feature like that would be for one of the console versions. |
