Hello everyone,
One of the problems with the architect is that in order to get the daft computer players to know where to hit, you need really good lines, particularly on Par5s. Unfortunately, this leads to some silly yardages assigned to holes.
I gather you can set up a .ini file to set yardages on the scorecard but I notices that all set conditions too. I am happy with the conditions on my course and I only want to set hole yardages. Is that possible?

Thanks very much for replying.
When you say that we cannot set the default positions, do you mean that we need to put them in the .ini but they have no effect?
Do we need to assign read only to the .ini file?

Is it this that does not affect the 2005 game (but has to be put in the .ini anyway)? (Sorry if Im being a bit thick about this.)
[Conditions]
Skydome=3
GreenCond=4
RoughLength=3
WindSpeed=2
The only other thing I want is the scorecard yardages - that doesnt need read only, does it?
P.S. I never did get the waves to work in 2005 - any ideas.

I think I understand the ini now, thanks.
When I said the waves dont work, they dont work at all. Not on Pebble Beach or any of the stock courses either. Ive never tried on a custom course.
I have tried contacting EA sports and they just suggested updating graphics driver etc, which I did, but it didnt work.
It appears from these forums that no one else has had a problem with the waves - which is strange.
Again, thanks. I really appreciate the help youve given.
