Well, you guys (GMC Tour) already have a way of retrieving new courses and course data from our database so I dont see this being a feature you need to worry about.

RSS is a more simple and popular formatting standard that allows us to distribute information to the public. For those who want to incorporate our new course releases into their websites, you can simply Google around and find some tutorials/sample code for displaying rss feeds on your websites (keywords: rss+xml+programming+tutorials). When I have time, Ill search for some tutorials and post some post links on here.

If you already have a newsreader software (Im not sure how many people use these in our community), the software will alert you to a new course being uploaded, without the need for going to the website. Almost all of the news sites have feeds that allow you to do this. Basically, it is a convenience for those who frequent many sites a daily basis looking for updated information. Geeky idea? I dont think so.
