Hi everybody
I have recently downloaded Wando River and it is having graphical problems.
I got a message about the .ini file not being of the same name as the course file. I have tried having the .ini file named wando and wando river, or deleting it entirely, and nothing works.
Can anyone help?

The ini file needs to be named exactly the same as the TCR course file. My guess is that the ini file is not causing the problem. Uninstall the course and reinstall it. Check your graphical options in the game and tweak them down to see if that fixes the problem.
Have you recently updated your video card drivers? If so, there may be a problem with those new drivers and the game. You could try rolling your drivers back to an earlier version.
Based on the info you provided, that is about all I can advise at this point.

Thanks a lot for getting back to me.
I feel like a bit of an idiot on this one. In an attempt to get the big crashing waves to work, I had recently tried to update my driver but it caused loads of problems so I abandoned the effort.
In the process, I uninstalled and reinstalled Tiger 2005. After posting, I suddenly realised that I haddened reinstalled the patch, without which 2005 courses wont work.
Anyway, I put in the patch and Wando works fine.

P.S. Wando is really good, as is Wentworth that I also downloaded. Its amazing that user-made courses are so much better than the stock courses that seem a bit rushed to me, especially Sawgrass. |
