I havnt created a course yet. I have one I would like to do. I have the basic layout drawn out on paper. It does have a lot of elevational changes and water. My concern is should I start with something simpler or tackle this one. I havnt played with ca much so I not sure how difficult is it to learn. Also should I wait until they make 2005 available for download.

I think thats your call. If you like the course, I would say go for it. A flatter course may be easier, but youll learn the nuances of the CA less. You can wait until 2005, but you might as well go with 2004. I am not privy to the new CA, but odds are it is very similar and therefore it would be time well spent. If its brand new, then you may be at a loss, except a 2004 course can be played in 2005 anyway. Also, I think many users will not go to 2005 due to the custom season option no longer available, so many will play the 2004 version anyway.

Feel free to come back with questions, as the CA is very persnickety and we have lots of people who have been there who can help.
