Hi guys, anyone know when we will see some new courses arriving to d/L for TW2005, also will 2004 courses play on TW2005 ? thankx in advance....

| No new 2005 courses will come out until EA releases a Course Architect for them to be developed in. Right now a beta version of the CA is in the testers hands and I would expect the CA to be released in a few weeks. Until then, 2004 courses can be played in 2005, however you will need to install all of the TW2004 stock libraries into 2005 in order for them to work. If you do not have TW2004, then you are out of luck until EA officially releases the stock 2004 libraries for download. |

Thankyou for your speedy reply and explained it very nicely. I do have Tw2004 and all the ones b4 that as well. Like all TWgolf sim fans I will keep buying them as they get better to play and more realistic.

I thank EA was why out of bounds about the CA that was mention in the readme text that came with the game. EA printed it not me, and then they dont have the CA for download on there web page or give a reason why we havent recived a CA for 2k5 yet,why let them get away with this sort of bad customer relations at the players expence of 2k5. Seems to me a group action has more weight than one person, and I think it would help speed things up to send a message.
Maybe if EA was honest, and said it was being worked on in the readme text, and go to the site for farther information that would have been straight forward,and honest to the people that purchased the game. |

Before this gets out of hand, let me say that I will not let this thread turn into a bash EA thread. It was a bad decision to not include the CA with the game, but ultimately that was EAs decision. At least be thankful that they are going to provide a CA instead of griping and complaining about them lying to the public. There were a lot on indications that one wasnt even going to be released. Thats why so many archs were worried about this game. Apart from the readme documentation, which they clearly did not update from the 2004 version, nowhere in any of their PR materials prior to the release of 2005 did they ever mention a CA would be included. I know that was the biggest issue that the architects wanted to know about specifically because there was no word anywhere as to whether one would be provided.
As I said, we should be thankful they are even releasing one. The game has only been out for 1 week! I know there are archs anxious to start building courses, but be patient and give EA time to release the CA the way they planned to. Threatening EA or stomping your feet and complaining isnt going to get it done any quicker. It has been stated over and over on this board, at TWC, at TigerHQ and on the EA boards that a CA was being worked on. That was the first question that I personally answered when the beta test NDA was lifted. Give them time and one will be released.
