I think for the benefit of new TW users, it may be useful to add that you probably need the patch to run some courses, at the end of your comments, I am sure that when a course crashes to desktop before it loads is because the patch is not installed.

Good idea! However, I have the patch and some courses do fail. Thats in the FAQ on settings to change (like tree detail).
