Hmmm......
I know from other posts that this is a common question for TW2004 users, but Ive spent ages trying to get Augusta to work with no joy. Ive downloaded all the stock 2003 libraries and also the other libraries and every time I try to play augusta it just throws me to the desktop. Any ideas.
(interestingly birkdale 2003 doesnt show up in the libraries section of the course utilities, even though Ive repeatedly tried to install it! please help Im getting frustrated! Ive installed other 2003 course with no problem.)
thanks dan |

Ah, good question...
For TW2004 users that are getting booted to the desktop, go to Options and turn your Video setting from Automatic to Manual. When you do this, make sure that animated galleries are UNCHECKED. I had this problem when I first tried Augusta 2003 in TW2004. This solution allowed me to play.
As for your Birkdale problem, check and see if it is listed under the name Royal Birkdale 2003. It may already be installed. |

Bchas92097,
Look at my post above. You need to go to Options, Video settings inside the game and change from Automatic to Manual. Then make sure that Animated Galleries are UNCHECKED. This will solve you problem.
The other solution is to download the new TW2004 version of Augusta that was just released. |

I would like to try this course, but Im having trouble with the library Augusta 2004 Rev1. When I install it CA crashes, and in the game most all of the textures are black. Any clues? Thanks Rick

SteveDanut, I dont know whats up with CA crash. When I remove the library it works fine. I used Jorgens setup tool to install course and libraries, played first hole, everything was fine. Got to second tee, and fairway, vegitation, green, etc is just black. Not that seeing any of this will improve my game- but thats another subject

Rick,
To fix the black textures, go into your video options in the game and change from Automatic to Manual settings. This issue has been talked about in several places and changing this option fixes it. |
