A 2003 course may look bright or dark in 2004, nothing you can do about it. If its a 2004 course, its either the architects decision to choose those trees, or you may have a video card problem.

Which courses are you having problems with specifically?

hi , thanks for reply, the courses with problems are bluewater pines and whispering echoes. some of the trees are fine but others start off fine then go really bright especially the bark of the trees.
my graphics card is a geforce fx 5700 ultra 256mb
thanks again

If you have it on manual, then the slider is not effecting your settings. Try swithced Tree Detail to Medium if its at high and see what happens. If its at medium, try setting it high. Its just a thought it may not work. Also, some course drop you to the desktop if it cant handle the tree detail... but it sounds like you wont have that problem based on your card and settings. Please try this and let me know what happens. If it fails, Ill play with it and see if I can recreate the problem (I have an ATI 9800 Pro, so if I get it then we know its not a graphics card rendering problem).

hi , thanks for reply , turned off high detailed trees and put all other trees details to low and the courses in question worked fine, but should i have to do this with the graphic card that i have ? do you get any problems ?
also i downloaded some tw 02 courses this morning, they were:
1.redkey
2.dupont
3. glenarbour
4. royal woodbine
5. the legacy
and 6. st pauls , the only one to work was st pauls,
is it the case that some tw 02 courses do work on tw 04 no matter what graphics card u have?
again thanks for your swift reply

I have never tried an 02 course in 04. I dont think they work well if at all.

As for the video card/graphics settings - I cant really answer that for sure. On most courses, I can crank my video card up. And on others, I have to drop it to medium for some reason. I have a similar card to yours (ATI 9800 PRO), so its not a bad card issue, its a game rendering issue. As long as you have the latest drivers you are doing all you can.
