hi, i have downloaded 6 courses so far( tw 2004) 3 of them play perfectly, but the other 3 load up about a qtr way then crash back to desktop. i have installed all the libraries and courses required , the courses in question are: quail hollow, dutch elm and southern hills. the funny thing is that southern hills was playably but then i reinstalled the game and now it wont play after i installed it again. i have used both jorgen and course utilities, still no good. also has anyone else noticed sometimes in jorgen that it will ignore certain files because it cant decide if is a splash screen , flag etc when it clearly is not.
can anyone help ?
i must say any enquiry i have made so far has been replied to quickly and has been very helpful

Unfortunately this is a problem I have seen several players have with certain courses. The only advise I can give is some advise I found when I was trying to load Augusta 2003 into TW2004 and it kept crashing. The advise was to turn off animated galleries. To do this, go under your Options settings and under your Video option change from Automatic to Manual. This will allow you to manually adjust your video settings. If animated galleries is checked, uncheck it. Try the game with this setting change and see if those courses will play.
Let me know if that works. It worked for me with Augusta 2003 as well as several others, so it may work for these courses as well. |

hi , tried that but still crashing, why is laurentain valley, tpc blue ridge and augusta working but souther hills , quail hollow, river run 04 and dutch elm not working. also can you explain when installing with jorgen why it ignores cls files like leaf1.dds because it cant decide whether it is a splash, flag etc. is there a way to correct this ?

Make sure that you have the latest version of Jorgens installer. I think that the latest version (1.2) takes care of those messages you are seeing. The latest version can be downloaded from the Tutorials page at Course Source.
The only things I can think of with those courses is that possibly a needed library is missing or something with your video driver. Make sure you have all of the libraries needed. Also try updating your video driver to see if there may be some issue there. |

Sorry to hear about your problems with getting those courses to work. However it is not the courses, I have downloaded and installed those courses and they all worked prefect the first time and continue to work.
My advice would be make sure your computer matches or exceeds the minimum requirements for the game, make sure you have the latest version of jorgens installer and make sure you ahve no libraries cloaked. Unistall all suspect courses and reinstall them.
