A special hello to our friends at WRSGolf.
The Staff of Clambakers are pleased to announce that the new website went live at 9pm, UK time, today.
For those who don’t know The Clambakers was the brainchild of Ray Hines who wanted to give ALL golfers the chance to play on an ‘even field’. As far as we know it is the only Tour that supports and allows golfers of all skill levels to compete head to head in the same event due to our handicapping system. A system, which has produced many first time winners, from Pro through to Masters level, in our 1st year of Tournament play.
It is probably this one factor more than any other that has seen the Clambakers become the largest Tiger Woods Tour on the Internet in such a short time. So much so, that we outgrew the site 3 times before purchasing our new home at http://www.clambakers.net
Our new home, as you will see is geared up for the introduction of a TW ’04 Tour as well as our established TW ’03 Tour.
The owners, Ray Hines – (Tour Director), Joe Crab – (Score Verifier), Dave Craven – (Forum Admin) and our ‘Sleeping Partner’, welcome you. Very special thanks go to Jorgen Ekroth – (Honorary Owner) for the hard work and dedication he has put in to coding the site for our golfing pleasure and also for the work he does in the community in general with his programs, golf course designs and indeed just for his friendship. Jorgen, we thank you.
The ’04 Tour is not due to start just yet as there is no ’04 Game Watcher but it is our intention to run some games on EASO where we also have an EASO Club run by ‘Chin’, (Frank Columbo), BUT membership for that is filling up so fast we may have to start a second one!
I have set the new forums up with a ‘Guest’ thread so that our cyber friends, fellow golfers and visitors may post comments or ask questions if they are not registered.
See you on the fairways,
Dave Craven. (Blader) |
