Hi Everyone:
When I am playing a course in TW2004, the ambient sounds of the ball landing on the fairways, greens, in the bunkers, water, hitting a tree, or dropping into the cup are so soft, I can barely hear them However, I am not experiencing this problem when I play TW2003. The music in the game is quite loud.
(The ambient sound slider in the game is turned up high And I have the latest drivers installed for my C-Media, 8738, onboard sound, which is also set above normal. I have a Sound Blaster Live Sound Card, but it doesnt work for some reason.)
I turned my sound acceleration down to basic, but this didnt help either.
Has anyone esls experienced thsi problem, and if so, how did you correct it?
Thanks and I look forward to your responses.
Regards.

Saw this elsewhere............
go into the sound files folder and adjust the volume on the sounds you want to raise or lower with Windows Sound Recorder accessory. The sounds are in Program Files/EA Sports/Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2004/Sounds/Basic. Right click on a file and choose ‘Open With’. If the recorder’s not on the list, you’ll have to click ‘Choose Program’ and search for it. Increase/Decrease Volume is under the Effects tab.

Hi Blader:
Yes, I posted it on the TWC website also.
Thanks. I really appreciate your feedback. I downloaded and installed a driver from the Microsoft update Website and that seems to have helped to increase the ambients sounds, at least louder then they were before.
They are still a bit soft, but I can hear them better.
Thanks again.
Regards.
