Hi:
About a week ago, I got an ICQ, however, when I try to receive files, only the folders come through and not the files. (My cable modem goes through my SMC Barricade Router and the router is not installed into my computer.)
Has anyone else had this problem with their router and ICQ? If so, what do I need to do to setup my ICQ to receive files through my router?

Hi Linda:
Yes, that is correct. When the file was received, I saved it into My Documents, however when I went to the folder to check it out, only the folder with the name of the sender was there, but there was no file inside of the folder.
I just went into, C:\Program Files\ICQ Lite, and looked in all of the files listed there to see if there is a received file, but there doesnt appear to be one.

Hi Everyone:
I downloaded and installed the firmware upgrade for my router this morning and I am hoping that this will solve my problem.
I will try this first before I look any farther and i will let everyone know what happens.

| Well it may not have anything to do with a router, as I can count numerous times that Jimbo and I have exchanged files, sometimes it works sometimes it dont, found a few little tricks, make sure neither one of you are set as invisible, for some reason on the recent ICQ release this makes a difference. |
