I am running Windows 8.1 but cannot play TW08
Seemed to install OK
Changed compatibility back to Windows Vista.
Made sure I had all the Microsoft Visual packages installed
Restarted PC
I get the EA Sports logo screen, the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 screen and then the main menu (all with sound). I can set all the options I want for the game.
However when I attempt to play the game it crashes with a black screen and then a Microsoft C++ runtime error.
Any ideas thanks ??? |

Hello golferdee,
Did you try to run TW08 as administrator:
On desktop right click TW08 icon...choose: Properties....compatibility...and check box: Run as administrator...and hit: apply |

Just tried running as administrator with same result
but different rror message
THE INSTRUCTION AT 0x0056B96B REFERENCED MEMORY AT 0x00000000
THE MEMORY COULD NOT BE READ. CLICK OK TO TERMINATE THE PROGRAM.
Doing a bit of online research to see if I can find out what that means. |

Hi,
Did TW08 work before on your system ?
If it worked before, then you can try to do a system restore ( restore your PC to a date where your TW08 game still worked ) |
