I have an ati HD 5570 1g gpu and I used to be able to see the spray from fountains but can't anymore..
Anyone familiar with ati could tell me if there is something I can adjust in the catalyst center? I know the card isnt the best and may have to upgrade but wanted to ask here first.. Thanks |

Hiya Larry...
Not sure, but i think you can try this:
The fountains are inside the Course life system ( CLS ).
Go to main screen of TW08.......Options...Graphics
Set it to: Manual settings
And set Course life system: High ( maybe medium will work aswell ) |

| From my experience fountains and waterfalls are hit and miss. They are also a pain in the butt when trying to create them... |

Actually fountain mist are fairly easy to do. just number coordinates I learned from Blade.
Why some see them and some dont is a mystery. could be graphic card. The last course i put up, Golf Club Bogogno Bonora Course has 4 fountains. Mark helped me test and he saw the fountains mist. I put my settings to test on low and still saw them. I have my manual setting best performance slider about three quarters to the right. All other setting on high. I have a 512 graphic card Radeon HD 4550 which is old. |

| at first i was not seeing the mist in practice mode, but by blades instructions, switch to another hole and then back again to the hole with the fountain and you should see it, thats when i started seeing the mist, took a couple of times but now it always shows up, dont think graphics card is the problem |

I dont think you will see them in practice mode. I know this is the case with galleries.
Are you sure you have the CLS folder in your course folder. We have some members where the caddy does not install it for some reason. |

Spot on Bill.
Some people are installing with CLsetup08.
CLsetup08 will install the cls when it is in a folder named cls.
When the cls.tbf is in the zipfile, but not in in a folder named cls, then it will not be installed by CLsetup08. |

Yep, I use clsetup and once I put the cls.tbf into a folder named cls, the fountains came alive!!
Thanks to Pats help... I hadnt seen Bullpupp2 post until just now but you were onto it Bill.. thanks so much..
BTW, they do work in Practice mode also... |
