hi
i have been using the tutorial for straight faced bunkers and retaining walls with water or bunkers , but when i try to do a lip with a small slope .3 feet down hill at the end thats when the creases appear, how can i fix this or maybe dont add the lip.

Here is an Excellent tut for very nice bunkers... http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/details.asp?id=773
I have used it on several courses and in fact am using it right now, you can play with the height of the lip, I use 6 inches...
I DO NOT Lift any of my shapes as Neil says to do.. For me, that just makes seams...
Also, basically you will do ALL your smoothing and optimizing then you will drop your lip last, then optimize again. If you need any help, just pm me..
